Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them, so those prophets did not avail them from Allah at all, and it was said, "Enter the Fire with those who enter."

Allah cites an example of the faithless: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of our righteous servants, yet they betrayed them. So they did not avail them in any way against Allah, and it was said [to them], ‘Enter the Fire, along with those who enter [it].’

Allah citeth an example for those who disbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot, who were under two of Our righteous slaves yet betrayed them so that they (the husbands) availed them naught against Allah and it was said (unto them): Enter the Fire along with those who enter.

Allah sets forth, for an example to the Unbelievers, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lut: they were (respectively) under two of our righteous servants, but they were false to their (husbands), and they profited nothing before Allah on their account, but were told: "Enter ye the Fire along with (others) that enter!"

God has struck a similitude for the unbelievers -- the wife of Noah, and the wife of Lot; for they were under two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed them, so they availed them nothing whatsoever against God; so it was said, 'Enter, you two, the Fire with those who enter.'

خدا برای کافران، زن نوح و زن لوط را مثل زده که تحت سرپرستی و زوجیت دو بنده شایسته از بندگان ما بودند، ولی [در امر دین و دین داری] به آن دو [بنده شایسته ما] خیانت ورزیدند، و آن دو [پیامبر] چیزی از عذاب خدا را از آن دو زن دفع نکردند و [هنگام مرگ] به آن دو گفته شد: با وارد شوندگان وارد آتش شوید.

خدا برای کسانی که کفر ورزیده‌اند، زن نوح و زن لوط را مَثَل آورده [که‌] هر دو در نکاح دو بنده از بندگان شایسته ما بودند و به آنها خیانت کردند، و کاری از دست [شوهران‌] آنها در برابر خدا ساخته نبود، و گفته شد: «با داخل شوندگان داخل آتش شوید.»

Allah, inkar edenlere, Nuh'un karısıyla Lut'un karısını misal gösterir: Onlar, kullarımızdan iki iyi kulun nikahı altında iken onlara karşı hainlik edip inkarlarını gizlemişlerdi de iki peygamber Allah'tan gelen azabı onlardan savamamışlardı. O iki kadına: "Cehenneme girenlerle beraber siz de girin" dendi.

Allah membuat isteri Nuh dan isteri Luth sebagai perumpamaan bagi orang-orang kafir. Keduanya berada di bawah pengawasan dua orang hamba yang saleh di antara hamba-hamba Kami; lalu kedua isteri itu berkhianat kepada suaminya (masing-masing), maka suaminya itu tiada dapat membantu mereka sedikitpun dari (siksa) Allah; dan dikatakan (kepada keduanya): "Masuklah ke dalam jahannam bersama orang-orang yang masuk (jahannam)".

خدا نے کفر اختیار کرنے والوں کے لئے زوجہ نوح اور زوجہ لوط کی مثال بیان کی ہے کہ یہ دونوں ہمارے نیک بندوں کی زوجیت میں تھیں لیکن ان سے خیانت کی تو اس زوجیت نے خدا کی بارگاہ میں کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچایا اور ان سے کہہ دیا گیا کہ تم بھی تمام جہنمّ میں داخل ہونے والوں کے ساتھ داخل ہوجاؤ

আল্লাহ তা’আলা কাফেরদের জন্যে নূহ-পত্নী ও লূত-পত্নীর দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন। তারা ছিল আমার দুই ধর্মপরায়ণ বান্দার গৃহে। অতঃপর তারা তাদের সাথে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করল। ফলে নূহ ও লূত তাদেরকে আল্লাহ তা’আলার কবল থেকে রক্ষা করতে পারল না এবং তাদেরকে বলা হলঃ জাহান্নামীদের সাথে জাহান্নামে চলে যাও।
