And never is it for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake - then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity. But if the deceased was from a people at war with you and he was a believer - then [only] the freeing of a believing slave; and if he was from a people with whom you have a treaty - then a compensation payment presented to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. And whoever does not find [one or cannot afford to buy one] - then [instead], a fast for two months consecutively, [seeking] acceptance of repentance from Allah. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

A believer may not kill another believer, unless it is by mistake. Anyone who kills a believer by mistake should set free a believing slave, and pay blood-money to his family, unless they remit it in charity. If he belongs to a people that are hostile to you but is a believer, then a believing slave is to be set free. And if he belongs to a people with whom you have a treaty, the blood-money is to be paid to his family and a believing slave is to be set free. He who cannot afford [to pay the blood-money], must fast two successive months as a penance from Allah, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

It is not for a believer to kill a believer unless (it be) by mistake. He who hath killed a believer by mistake must set free a believing slave, and pay the blood-money to the family of the slain, unless they remit it as a charity. If he (the victim) be of a people hostile unto you, and he is a believer, then (the penance is) to set free a believing slave. And if he cometh of a folk between whom and you there is a covenant, then the blood-money must be paid unto his folk and (also) a believing slave must be set free. And whoso hath not the wherewithal must fast two consecutive months. A penance from Allah. Allah is Knower, Wise.

Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom.

It belongs not to a believer to slay a believer, except it be by error. If any slays a believer by error, then let him set free a believing slave, and bloodwit is to be paid to his family unless they forgo it as a freewill offering. If he belong to a people at enmity with you and is a believer, let the slayer set free a believing slave. If he belong to a people joined with you by a compact, then bloodwit is to be paid to his family and the slayer shall set free a believing slave. But if he finds not the means, let him fast two successive months -- God's turning; God is All-knowing, All-wise.

هیچ مؤمنی را نسزد که مؤمنی را بکشد، مگر آنکه این عمل از روی خطا و اشتباه اتفاق افتد. و کسی که مؤمنی را از روی خطا و اشتباه بکشد، باید یک برده مؤمن آزاد کند، و خون بهایی به وارثان مقتول پرداخت نماید؛ مگر آنکه آنان خون بها را ببخشند. و اگر مقتول از گروهی باشد که دشمن شمایند و خود او مؤمن است، فقط آزاد کردن یک برده مؤمن بر عهده قاتل است. و اگر مقتول مؤمن، از گروهی باشد که میان شما و آنان پیمانی برقرار است، باید خون بهایش را به وارثان او پرداخت کند، و نیز یک برده مؤمن آزاد نماید. و کسی که برده نیافت، باید دو ماه پیاپی روزه بگیرد. [این حکم] به سبب [پذیرش] توبه [قاتل] از سوی خداست؛ و خدا همواره دانا و حکیم است.

و هیچ مؤمنی را نسزد که مؤمنی را -جز به اشتباه- بکشد. و هر کس مؤمنی را به اشتباه کشت، باید بنده مؤمنی را آزاد و به خانواده او خونبها پرداخت کند؛ مگر اینکه آنان گذشت کنند. و اگر [مقتول‌] از گروهی است که دشمنان شمایند و [خود] وی مؤمن است، [قاتل‌] باید بنده مؤمنی را آزاد کند [و پرداخت خونبها لازم نیست‌]. و اگر [مقتول‌] از گروهی است که میان شما و میان آنان پیمانی است، باید به خانواده وی خونبها پرداخت نماید و بنده مؤمنی را آزاد کند. و هر کس [بنده‌] نیافت، باید دو ماه پیاپی -به عنوان توبه‌ای از جانب خدا- روزه بدارد، و خدا همواره دانای سنجیده‌کار است.

Bir müminin diğer mümini yanlışlık dışında öldürmesi asla caiz değildir. Bir mümini yanlışlıkla öldürenin, bir mümin köleyi azad etmesi ve öldürülenin ailesi bağışlamadıkça, ona diyet ödemesi gerekir. Eğer o mümin, size düşman bir topluluktan ise mümin bir köleyi azad etmek gerekir. Şayet aranızda anlaşma olan bir millettense, ailesine diyet ödemek ve mümin bir köleyi azat etmek gerekir. Bulamayana, Allah tarafından tevbesinin kabulü için, ard arda iki ay oruç tutmak gerekir. Allah bilendir. Hakim'dir.

Dan tidak layak bagi seorang mukmin membunuh seorang mukmin (yang lain), kecuali karena tersalah (tidak sengaja), dan barangsiapa membunuh seorang mukmin karena tersalah (hendaklah) ia memerdekakan seorang hamba sahaya yang beriman serta membayar diat yang diserahkan kepada keluarganya (si terbunuh itu), kecuali jika mereka (keluarga terbunuh) bersedekah. Jika ia (si terbunuh) dari kaum (kafir) yang ada perjanjian (damai) antara mereka dengan kamu, maka (hendaklah si pembunuh) membayar diat yang diserahkan kepada keluarganya (si terbunuh) serta memerdekakan hamba sahaya yang beriman. Barangsiapa yang tidak memperolehnya, maka hendaklah ia (si pembunuh) berpuasa dua bulan berturut-turut untuk penerimaan taubat dari pada Allah. Dan adalah Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.

اور کسی مومن کو یہ حق نہیں ہے کہ وہ کسی مومن کو قتل کردے مگر غلطی سے اور جو غلطی سے قتل کردے اسے چاہئے کہ ایک غلام آزاد کرے اور مقتول کے وارثوں کو دیت دے مگر یہ کہ وہ معاف کردیں پھر اگر مقتول ایسی قوم سے ہے جو تمہاری دشمن ہے اور(اتفاق سے) خود مومن ہے تو صرف غلام آزاد کرنا ہوگا اور اگر ایسی قوم کا فرد ہے جس کا تم سے معاہدہ ہے تو اس کے اہل کو دیت دینا پڑے گی اور ایک مومن غلام آزاد کرنا ہوگا اور غلام نہ ملے تو دو ماہ کے مسلسل روزے رکھنا ہوں گے یہی اللہ کی طرف سے توبہ کا راستہ ہے اور اللہ سب کی نیتوں سے باخبر ہے اور اپنے احکام میں صاحب هحکمت بھی ہے

মুসলমানের কাজ নয় যে, মুসলমানকে হত্যা করে; কিন্তু ভুলক্রমে। যে ব্যক্তি মুসলমানকে ভূলক্রমে হত্যা করে, সে একজন মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে এবং রক্ত বিনিময় সমর্পন করবে তার স্বজনদেরকে; কিন্তু যদি তারা ক্ষমা করে দেয়। অতঃপর যদি নিহত ব্যক্তি তোমাদের শত্রু সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্গত হয়, তবে মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে এবং যদি সে তোমাদের সাথে চুক্তিবদ্ধ কোন সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্গত হয়, তবে রক্ত বিনিময় সমর্পণ করবে তার স্বজনদেরকে এবং একজন মুসলমান ক্রীতদাস মুক্ত করবে। অতঃপর যে ব্যক্তি না পায়, সে আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে গোনাহ মাফ করানোর জন্যে উপর্যুপুরি দুই মাস রোযা রাখবে। আল্লাহ, মহাজ্ঞানী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
