    From what substance did He create him?

  • أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ

    Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?

  • قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرْتَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلًا

    His companion said to him while he was conversing with him, "Have you disbelieved in He who created you from dust and then from a sperm-drop and then proportioned you [as] a man?

  • أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ

    Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

  • وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ

    By the sky which returns [rain]

  • فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ

    And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.
