انسان؛ حریص و کم‌طاقت

خداوند نیروها و غرایز و صفاتی در انسان آفریده است که بالقوّه وسیلة تکامل و ترقی و سعادت او محسوب می‌شوند و به خودی خود بد نیستند؛ اما همین صفات اگر در مسیر انحرافی قرار گیرند و از آنها سوء استفاده شودء مایة نکبت و بدیختی و شر و فساد خواهند بود. برای مثال» حرص نیرویی است که به انسان اجازه نمی‌دهد که زود از تلاش و کوشش باز ایستد و با رسیدن به نعمتی سیر شود. این عطشی سوزان است که بر وجود انسان مسلط است. اکَر این صفت در مسیر تحصیل علم و دانش و کمال‌های روحی و معنوی به کار افتد. بی‌شک موجب پیشرفت او می‌شود؛ اما اگر در مسیر ثروت و شهوت و شهرت و نظایر آنها به کار افتد, مایة شر و بدیختی‌اش می‌گردد.
