Do you not consider, [O Muhammad], those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They are invited to the Scripture of Allah that it should arbitrate between them; then a party of them turns away, and they are refusing.

Have you not regarded those who were given a share of the Book, who are summoned to the Book of Allah in order that it may judge between them, whereat a part of them refuse to comply and they are disregardful?

Hast thou not seen how those who have received a portion of the Scripture invoke the Scripture of Allah (in their disputes) that it may judge between them; then a faction of them turn away, being opposed (to it)?

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who have been given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah, to settle their dispute, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration).

Hast thou not regarded those who were given a portion of the Book, being called to the Book of God, that it might decide between them, and then a party of them turned away, swerving aside?

آیا به کسانی که بهره ای اندک از کتاب [تورات و انجیل] به آنان داده شده ننگریستی که به سوی کتاب خدا خوانده می شوند تا در میان آنان [درباره احکام الهی و نبوّت پیامبر اسلام] داوری کنند؟ سپس گروهی از آنان در حالی که اعراض کننده [از حق و حقیقت] اند، روی می گردانند.

آیا داستان کسانی را که بهره‌ای از کتاب [تورات‌] یافته‌اند ندانسته‌ای که چون به سوی کتاب خدا فرا خوانده می‌شوند تا میانشان حکم کند، آنگه گروهی از آنان به حال اعراض، روی برمی‌تابند؟

Kendilerine Kitapdan bir pay verilenleri, görmedin mi? Onlar aralarında hüküm vermek için Allah'ın Kitabına çağırılmışlar, sonra onlardan bir takımı dönmüşlerdir. Onlar temelli yüz çevirenlerdir.

Tidakkah kamu memperhatikan orang-orang yang telah diberi bahagian yaitu Al Kitab (Taurat), mereka diseru kepada kitab Allah supaya kitab itu menetapkan hukum diantara mereka; kemudian sebahagian dari mereka berpaling, dan mereka selalu membelakangi (kebenaran).

کیا تم نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جنہیں کتاب کا تھوڑا سا حصّہ دے دیا گیا کہ انہیں کتاب هخدا کی طرف فیصلہ کے لئے بلایا جاتا ہے تو ایک فریق مکر جاتا ہے اور وہ بالکل کنارہ کشی کرنے والے ہیں

আপনি কি তাদের দেখেননি, যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ পেয়েছে-আল্লাহর কিতাবের প্রতি তাদের আহবান করা হয়েছিল যাতে তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করা যায়। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে একদল তা অমান্য করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
