[They are] those who said, "Indeed, Allah has taken our promise not to believe any messenger until he brings us an offering which fire [from heaven] will consume." Say, "There have already come to you messengers before me with clear proofs and [even] that of which you speak. So why did you kill them, if you should be truthful?"

Tell those who say, ‘Allah has pledged us not to believe in any apostle unless he brings us an offering consumed by fire,’ ‘Apostles before me certainly did bring you manifest signs and what you speak of. Then why did you kill them, if you are truthful?’

(The same are) those who say: Lo! Allah hath charged us that we believe not in any messenger until he bring us an offering which fire (from heaven) shall devour. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Messengers came unto you before me with miracles, and with that (very miracle) which ye describe. Why then did ye slay them? (Answer that) if ye are truthful!

They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?"

Those same men said, 'God has made covenant with us, that we believe not any Messenger until he brings to us a sacrifice devoured by fire.' Say: 'Messengers have come to you before me bearing clear signs, and that you spoke of; why therefore did you slay them, if you speak truly?'

کسانی که گفتند: خدا به ما سفارش کرده است که به هیچ پیامبری ایمان نیاوریم تا برای ما [به نشانه صدق نبوتش] یک قربانی بیاورد که آن را آتش [غیبی] بسوزاند، بگو: پیش از من پیامبرانی دلایل روشن و آنچه گفتید برای شما آوردند؛ اگر راستگویید، پس چرا آنان را کشتید؟

همانان که گفتند: «خدا با ما پیمان بسته که به هیچ پیامبری ایمان نیاوریم تا برای ما قربانیی بیاورد که آتش [آسمانی‌] آن را [به نشانه قبول‌] بسوزاند.» بگو: «قطعاً پیش از من، پیامبرانی بودند که دلایل آشکار را با آنچه گفتید، برای شما آوردند. اگر راست می گویید، پس چرا آنان را کشتید؟»

"Doğrusu, ateşin yiyeceği bir kurban getirmedikçe hiçbir peygambere inanmamak üzere Allah bize ahid verdi" diyenlere sen, de ki: "Benden önce peygamberler size belgeler ve dediğiniz şeyi getirdi. Doğru sözlü iseniz niçin onları öldürdünüz?"

(Yaitu) orang-orang (Yahudi) yang mengatakan: "Sesungguhnya Allah telah memerintahkan kepada kami, supaya kami jangan beriman kepada seseorang rasul, sebelum dia mendatangkan kepada kami korban yang dimakan api". Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya telah datang kepada kamu beberapa orang rasul sebelumku membawa keterangan-keterangan yang nyata dan membawa apa yang kamu sebutkan, maka mengapa kamu membunuh mereka jika kamu adalah orang-orang yang benar".

جو لوگ یہ کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ نے ہم سے عہد لیا ہے کہ ہم اس وقت تک کسی رسول پر ایمان نہ لائیں جب تک وہ ایسی قربانی پیش نہ کرے جسے آسمانی آگ کھا جائے تو ان سے کہہ دیجئے کہ مجھ سے پہلے بہت سے رسول معجزات اور تمہاری فرمائش کے مطابق صداقت کی نشانی لے آئے پھر تم نے انہیں کیوں قتل کردیا اگر تم اپنی بات میں سچےّ ہو

সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা বলে যে, আল্লাহ আমাদিগকে এমন কোন রসূলের ওপর বিশ্বাস না করতে বলে রেখেছেন যতক্ষণ না তারা আমাদের নিকট এমন কোরবানী নিয়ে আসবেন যাকে আগুন গ্রাস করে নেবে। তুমি তাদের বলে দাও, তোমাদের মাঝে আমার পূর্বে বহু রসূল নিদর্শনসমূহ এবং তোমরা যা আব্দার করেছ তা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন, তখন তোমরা কেন তাদেরকে হত্যা করলে যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক।
