ٱلَّذِينَ إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ أَلَّا حَتَّىٰ قَدْ مِّن وَبِٱلَّذِى فَلِمَ إِن ﴿١٨٣﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

[They are] those who said, "Indeed, Allah has taken our promise not to believe any messenger until he brings us an offering which fire [from heaven] will consume." Say, "There have already come to you messengers before me with clear proofs and [even] that of which you speak. So why did you kill them, if you should be truthful?"

بهانه جویی یهود در مقابل پیامبر(ص)

بعضی از مفسران گفته‌اند که این سخن بهودیان که «یک قربانی بیاورد که آتش آن را بخورد» ریشه در داستان قربانی دو پسر حضرت آدم(ع) یعنی هابیل و قابیل دارد؛ چنان که أَیةُ ۲۷ سوره مائّده می‌فرماید: «آنگاه که دو قربانی را عرضه کردند. از یکی از آنها پذیرفته شد و از دیگری پذیرفته نشد.» گفته‌اند نشانة قبول شدن قربانی هابیل - که گوسفندی بود - سوختن آن با آتشی از آسمان بوده است. برای اطلاع بیشتر به توضیح أَیةُ ۲۷ سورة مائده مراجعه شود.
