وَإِذَا عَلَيْهِمْ ٱلَّذِينَ لِلَّذِينَ ﴿٧٣﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?"

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

فخرفروشی به خاطر ثروت

از آن رو که معیار ارزش در جامعه جاهلی آن زمان و هر جامعةٌ جاهلی دیگر»ء زر و زیور و پول و مقام و شکل ظاهر بودء ثروتمندان ستمکاری همچون نضر بن حارث» بر گروه موّمنان فقیر که نخستین و وفادارترین گروهی بودند که به پیامبر ایمان آوردنده فخر فروشی کرد» می‌گفتند: نشانة شخصیت ما با ما است و نشانةٌ بی‌شخصیتی شما همان فقر و محرومیتتان استء» و این خود دلیل بر حقانیت ما و حقانیت نداشتن شماست. در روایات می‌خوانیم که این گروه اشرافی» زیباترین لباس‌هایشان را می‌پوشیدند و خود را زینت می‌کردند, جلوی یاران رسول خدا(ص) راه می‌رفتند و نگاه تمسخرآمیز به آنها می‌کردند.
