وَٱلَّذِينَ وَإِذَا مَا هُمْ ﴿٣٧﴾

عفو هنگام خشمگین شدن

این آیه» یکی از صفات برجستةُ موّمنان راستین را بیان می‌فرماید: تسلط بر نفس هنگام خشم و غضب که بحرانی‌ترین حال انسان است. جالب توجه این که نمی‌گوید آنها اصلاً خشمگین نمی‌شوند؛ چرا که این صفت جزو طبیعت انسان است و در بعضی موارد» یعنی در آتجا که برای خدا و در راه احقاق حق مظلومان باشدء ضرورت هم دارد؛ بلکه می‌فرماید آنها هنگام غضبء به گناه آلوده نمی‌شوند» طرف مقابل را می‌بخشند. و باید هم چنین باشد. چگونه انسان می‌تواند در انتظار عفو المی باشد؛ در حالی که خود کینه‌توز و انتقام‌جو است. اگر در اینجا به طور ویژه بر غضب تکیه شده» به خاطر این است که این حالتء آتش سوزانی است که در درون جان انسان شعله‌ور می‌شود و کسانی که نمی‌توانند خود را در این حالت مهار کنند.ء بسیارند؛ ولی موّمنان راستین هرگز تسلیم خشم و غضب نمی‌شوند. در حدیثی از امام باقر(ع) می‌خوانیم: «کسی که هنگام شوق و علاقه و هنگام ترس و وحشت و هنگام خشم و غضب. مالک نفس خویش باشد. خداوند بدن او را بر آتش دوزخ حرام می‌کند.» در روایتی از پیامبر اسلام(ص) می‌خوانیم: «آن کس که خشم خود را فرو برد. با این‌که قدرت بر اعمال آن دارد. خداوند دل او را در روز قیامت از آرامش و ایمان پر می‌کند.» از امام صادق(ع) روایت شده است: «سه خصلت است که در هر کس وجود داشته باشد.ء ویژگی‌های ایمانش کامل است: کسی که در برابر ستم پایمردی کند و خشم خویش را فرو نشانده. به حساب (خدا) گذارد و عفو و آمرزش داشته باشد. از جمله کسانی است که خداوند بدون حساب او را به بهشت وارد می‌کند و شفاعت او را در بارةٌ [افراد بسیاری] مانند قبیلةٌ ربیعه و مضر [که در کثرت و فراوانی جمعیت. شاهد مشال عرب قرار می‌گرفتند] می‌پذیرد.»
