‏ و ۱۶۰. برای شناخت خدا نزد چه کسانی برویم؟

طبق این آیه هر گونه توصیفی که مردم در بارة خدا می‌کنند» نادرست است و خداوند از همه اوصاف جز توصیفی که بندگان مخلّص کرده‌اندء منزه است؛ بندگانی که از هر گونه شرک و هوای نفس و جهل و گمراهی مبرا هستند و خدا را جز به آنچه خودش اجازه داده» توصیف نمی‌کنند. آری» برای شناخت خدا نباید دنبال خرافاتی افتاد که از اقوام جاهلی باقی مانده و انسان از بیان آن شرم دارد؛ باید سراغ بندگان مخلصی رفت که گفتار آنها روح انسان را به اوج اسمان‌ها پرواز می‌دهد. در نور وحدانیت او محو می‌کندء هر گونه شائبةٌ شرک را از دل می‌شوید و هر گونه تجسم و تشبیه را از فکر می‌زداید. باید به سراغ سخنان پیامبر و خاندان معصوم او رفت و در پرتو توصیف‌های ایشان خدا را شناخت. امیرالموٌمنین علی(ع) در توصیف خداوند می‌فرماید: «اندیشه‌ها به او نمی‌رسند تا اندازه‌ای برای خدا تصوّر کنند و فکرهای تیزبین نمی‌توانند او را درک کنند تا صورتی از او تصوّر نمایند. حواس از احساس کردن او عاجز و دست‌ها از لمس کردن او ناتوان است و تغییر و دگرگونی در او راه ندارد و گذشت زمان تأٌثیری در او نمی‌گذارد. گذران روز و شب او را سالخورده نسازد و روشنایی و تاریکی در او اثر ندارد. خدا با هیچ یک از اعضا و اندام و نه با عَرّضی از اعراض و نه با دگرگونی‌ها و تجزیه وصف نمی‌گردد. برای او اندازه و نهایتی وجود ندارد و نیستی و سرآمدی وجود نخواهد داشت.»!

    And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say…
