Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?

Wherever you may be death will overtake you, even if you were in fortified towers.’ If any good befalls them, they say, ‘This is from Allah;’ and when an ill befalls them, they say, ‘This is from you.’ Say, ‘All is from Allah.’ What is the matter with these people that they would not understand any matter?

Wheresoever ye may be, death will overtake you, even though ye were in lofty towers. Yet if a happy thing befalleth them they say: This is from Allah; and if an evil thing befalleth them they say: This is of thy doing (O Muhammad). Say (unto them): All is from Allah. What is amiss with these people that they come not nigh to understand a happening?

"Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls them, they say, "This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say, "This is from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact?

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, though you should be in raised-up towers. And if a good thing visits them, they say, 'This is from God'; but if an evil thing visits them, they say, 'This is from thee.' Say: 'Everything is from God.' How is it with this people? They scarcely understand any tiding.

هر کجا باشید هر چند در قلعه های مرتفع و استوار، مرگ شما را درمی یابد. و اگر خیری [چون پیروزی و غنیمت] به آنان [که سست ایمان و منافق اند] برسد، می گویند: این از سوی خداست. و اگر سختی وحادثه ای [چون بیماری، تنگدستی، شکست وناکامی] به آنان رسد [به پیامبر اسلام] می گویند: از ناحیه توست. بگو: همه اینها از سوی خداست. این گروه را چه شده که نمی خواهند [معارف الهیّه وحقایق را] بفهمند؟!

هر کجا باشید، شما را مرگ درمی‌یابد؛ هر چند در بُرجهای استوار باشید. و اگر [پیشامد] خوبی به آنان برسد، می‌گویند: «این از جانب خداست»؛ و چون صدمه‌ای به ایشان برسد، می‌گویند: «این از طرف توست.» بگو: «همه از جانب خداست.» [آخر ]این قوم را چه شده است که نمی‌خواهند سخنی را [درست‌] دریابند؟

Nerede olursaniz olun, sağlam kaleler içinde bulunsanız bile, ölüm size yetişecektir. Onlara bir iyilik gelirse: "Bu Allah'tandır" derler, bir kötülüğe uğrarlarsa "Bu, senin tarafındandır" derler. De ki: "Hepsi Allah'tandır". Bunlara ne oluyor ki, hiçbir sözü anlamaya yanaşmıyorlar?

Di mana saja kamu berada, kematian akan mendapatkan kamu, kendatipun kamu di dalam benteng yang tinggi lagi kokoh, dan jika mereka memperoleh kebaikan, mereka mengatakan: "Ini adalah dari sisi Allah", dan kalau mereka ditimpa sesuatu bencana mereka mengatakan: "Ini (datangnya) dari sisi kamu (Muhammad)". Katakanlah: "Semuanya (datang) dari sisi Allah". Maka mengapa orang-orang itu (orang munafik) hampir-hampir tidak memahami pembicaraan sedikitpun?

تم جہاں بھی رہو گے موت تمہیں پالے گی چاہے مستحکم قلعوں میں کیوں نہ بند ہوجاؤ- ان لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ اچھے حالات پیدا ہوتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ خدا کی طرف سے ہے اور مصیبت آتی ہے تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ آپ کی طرف سے ہے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ سب خدا کی طرف سے ہے پھر آخر اس قوم کو کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ یہ کوئی بات سمجھتی ہی نہیں ہے

তোমরা যেখানেই থাক না কেন; মৃত্যু কিন্তু তোমাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবেই। যদি তোমরা সুদৃঢ় দূর্গের ভেতরেও অবস্থান কর, তবুও। বস্তুতঃ তাদের কোন কল্যাণ সাধিত হলে তারা বলে যে, এটা সাধিত হয়েছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে। আর যদি তাদের কোন অকল্যাণ হয়, তবে বলে, এটা হয়েছে তোমার পক্ষ থেকে, বলে দাও, এসবই আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে। পক্ষান্তরে তাদের পরিণতি কি হবে, যারা কখনও কোন কথা বুঝতে চেষ্টা করে না।
