لَوْ هَٰذَا عَلَىٰ مِّنْ وَتِلْكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ ﴿٢١﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

اگر قرآن بر کوه‌ها نازل می‌شد. از هم می‌شکافتند

بسیاری از مفسران» این آیه را به صورت تشبیه تفسیر کرده و گفته‌اند که هدفء بیان این نکته است که این کوه‌ها با همه صلابت و استحکامی که دارندء اگر عقل و احساس داشتند و این آیات به جای قلب انسان‌ها بر آنها نازل می‌شد.ء چنان به لرزه در می‌آمدند که از هم می‌شکافتند؛ اما گروهی از انسان‌ها چنان قساوتمند و سنگدل هستند که کمترین تغییری در آنها رخ نمی‌دهد. بعضی دیگرء آن را بر ظاهرش حمل کرده و گفته‌اند: تمام موجودات این جهان - از جمله کوه‌ها -برای خود نوعی درک و شعور دارند و اگر این آیات بر آنها نازل می‌شد. به راستی از هم متلاشی می‌شدند (ر.ک. به: بقره - ۴ به هرحال, تأثیر قرآن در قلوب و افکار» واقعیتی انکارناپذیر است و در طول تاریخ اسلام؛ شواهد زیادی بر این معنا دیده و ثابت شده که سخت‌ترین دل‌ها نیز با شنیدن چند یه چنان نرم می‌شدند که یکباره خود را به اسلام می‌سپردند. تنها افراد لحوج و معاند از این امر مستثنی بودند؛ آزهایی که هیچ جایی برای هدایت در وجودشان نبود.
