But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" -

As for him who says to his parents, ‘Fie on you! Do you promise me that I shall be raised [from the dead] when generations have passed away before me?’ And they invoke Allah’s help [and say]: ‘Woe to you! Believe! Indeed Allah’s promise is true.’ But he says, ‘These are nothing but myths of the ancients.’

And whoso saith unto his parents: Fie upon you both! Do ye threaten me that I shall be brought forth (again) when generations before me have passed away? And they twain cry unto Allah for help (and say): Woe unto thee! Believe! Lo! the promise of Allah is true. But he saith: This is naught save fables of the men of old:

But (there is one) who says to his parents, "Fie on you! Do ye hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up, even though generations have passed before me (without rising again)?" And they two seek Allah's aid, (and rebuke the son): "Woe to thee! Have faith! for the promise of Allah is true." But he says, "This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

But he who says to his father and his mother, 'Fie upon you! Do you promise me that I shall be brought forth, when already generations have passed away before me?' while they call upon God for succour -- 'Woe upon thee! Believe; surely God's promise is true'; then he says, 'This is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients' --

و کسی که به پدر و مادرش گفت: اُف بر شما! [من از شما متنفر و دلتنگم]، آیا به من وعده می دهید که [پس از مرگ] زنده خواهم شد، در حالی که پیش از من اقوام بسیاری در گذشتند، [و هیچ کدام از آنان زنده نشدند]. و آن دو همواره [برای بازگشت فرزندشان] از خدا یاری می خواهند [و به فرزندشان می گویند:] وای بر تو ایمان بیاور، بی تردید وعده خدا [درباره سعادت و رستگاری مؤمنان در قیامت و شقاوت و بدبختی کافران] حق است. [ولی او در پاسخشان] می گوید: این [وعده ها] جز افسانه های گذشتگان نیست!!

و آن کس که به پدر و مادر خود گوید: «اف بر شما، آیا به من وعده می‌دهید که زنده خواهم شد و حال آنکه پیش از من نسلها سپری [و نابود] شدند.» و آن دو به [درگاه‌] خدا زاری می‌کنند: «وای بر تو، ایمان بیاور. وعده [و تهدید] خدا حق است.» و[لی پسر] پاسخ می‌دهد: «اینها جز افسانه‌های گذشتگان نیست.»

Annesine babasına: "Of ikinizden; benden önce nice nesiller gelip geçmişken beni tekrar diriltilmemle mi tehdit ediyorsunuz?" diyen kimseye, anne babası Allah'a sığınarak: "Sana yazıklar olsun! İnan; doğrusu Allah'ın sözü gerçektir" dedikleri halde: "Bu, Kuran öncekilerin masallarından başka bir şey değildir" diye cevap verenler işte onlar kendilerinden önce cinlerden ve insanlardan gelip geçmiş ümmetler içinde, Allah'ın azap vadinin aleyhlerinde gerçekleştiği kimselerdir. Doğrusu onlar hüsranda olanlardır.

Dan orang yang berkata kepada dua orang ibu bapaknya: "Cis bagi kamu keduanya, apakah kamu keduanya memperingatkan kepadaku bahwa aku akan dibangkitkan, padahal sungguh telah berlalu beberapa umat sebelumku? lalu kedua ibu bapaknya itu memohon pertolongan kepada Allah seraya mengatakan: "Celaka kamu, berimanlah! Sesungguhnya janji Allah adalah benar". Lalu dia berkata: "Ini tidak lain hanyalah dongengan orang-orang dahulu belaka".

اور جس نے اپنے ماں باپ سے یہ کہا کہ تمہارے لئے حیف ہے کہ تم مجھے اس بات سے ڈراتے ہو کہ میں دوبارہ قبر سے نکالا جاؤں گا حالانکہ مجھ سے پہلے بہت سی قومیں گزر چکی ہیں اور وہ دونوں فریاد کررہے تھے کہ یہ بڑی افسوس ناک بات ہے بیٹا ایمان لے آ - خدا کا وعدہ بالکل سچا ہے تو کہنے لگا کہ یہ سب پرانے لوگوں کے افسانے ہیں

আর যে ব্যক্তি তার পিতা-মাতাকে বলে, ধিক তোমাদেরকে, তোমরা কি আমাকে খবর দাও যে, আমি পুনরুত্থিত হব, অথচ আমার পূর্বে বহু লোক গত হয়ে গেছে? আর পিতা-মাতা আল্লাহর কাছে ফরিযাদ করে বলে, দুর্ভোগ তোমার তুমি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য। তখন সে বলে, এটা তো পূর্ববর্তীদের উপকথা বৈ নয়।
