And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.

The man from Egypt who had bought him said to his wife, ‘Give him an honourable place [in the household]. Maybe he will be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.’ Thus We established Joseph in the land and that We might teach him the interpretation of dreams. Allah has [full] command of His affairs, but most people do not know.

And he of Egypt who purchased him said unto his wife: Receive him honourably. Perchance he may prove useful to us or we may adopt him as a son. Thus we established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah was predominant in His career, but most of mankind know not.

The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.

He that bought him, being of Egypt, said to his wife, 'Give him goodly lodging, and it may be that he will profit us, or we may take him for our own son.' So We established Joseph in the land, and that We might teach him the interpretation of tales. God prevails in His purpose, but most men know not.

آن مرد مصری که یوسف را خرید، به همسرش گفت: جایگاهش را گرامی دار، امید است [در امور زندگی] به ما سودی دهد، یا او را به فرزندی انتخاب کنیم. این گونه یوسف را در سرزمین مصر مکانت بخشیدیم [تا زمینه فرمانروایی وحکومتش فراهم شود] و به او از تعبیر خواب ها بیاموزیم؛ و خدا بر کار خود چیره و غالب است، ولی بیشتر مردم نمی دانند.

و آن کس که او را از مصر خریده بود به همسرش گفت: «نیکش بدار، شاید به حال ما سود بخشد یا او را به فرزندی اختیار کنیم.» و بدین گونه ما یوسف را در آن سرزمین مکانت بخشیدیم تا به او تأویل خوابها را بیاموزیم، و خدا بر کار خویش چیره است ولی بیشتر مردم نمی‌دانند.

Mısır'da onu satın alan kimse karısına: "Ona güzel bak, belki bize faydası olur yahut ta onu evlat ediniriz" dedi. Biz işte böylece Yusuf'u o yere yerleştirdik; ona, rüyaların nasıl yorumlanacağını öğrettik. Allah, işinde hakimdir, fakat insanların çoğu bunu bilmezler.

Dan orang Mesir yang membelinya berkata kepada isterinya: "Berikanlah kepadanya tempat (dan layanan) yang baik, boleh jadi dia bermanfaat kepada kita atau kita pungut dia sebagai anak". Dan demikian pulalah Kami memberikan kedudukan yang baik kepada Yusuf di muka bumi (Mesir), dan agar Kami ajarkan kepadanya ta'bir mimpi. Dan Allah berkuasa terhadap urusan-Nya, tetapi kebanyakan manusia tiada mengetahuinya.

اور مصر کے جس شخص نے انہیں خریدا تھا اس نے اپنی بیوی سے کہاکہ اسے عزّت و احترام کے ساتھ رکھو شاید یہ ہمیں کوئی فائدہ پہنچائے یا ہم اسے اپنا فرزند بنالیں اور اس طرح ہم نے یوسف کو زمین میں اقتدار دیا اور تاکہ اس طرح انہیں خوابوں کی تعبیر کا علم سکھائیں اور اللہ اپنے کام پر غلبہ رکھنے والا ہے یہ اور بات ہے کہ اکثر لوگوں کو اس کا علم نہیں ہے

মিসরে যে ব্যক্তি তাকে ক্রয় করল, সে তার স্ত্রীকে বললঃ একে সম্মানে রাখ। সম্ভবতঃ সে আমাদের কাছে আসবে অথবা আমরা তাকে পুত্ররূপে গ্রহণ করে নেব। এমনিভাবে আমি ইউসুফকে এদেশে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করলাম এবং এ জন্যে যে তাকে বাক্যাদির পূর্ণ মর্ম অনুধাবনের পদ্ধতি বিষয়ে শিক্ষা দেই। আল্লাহ নিজ কাজে প্রবল থাকেন, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক তা জানে না।
