And [remember] when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a statement; and when she informed [another] of it and Allah showed it to him, he made known part of it and ignored a part. And when he informed her about it, she said, "Who told you this?" He said, "I was informed by the Knowing, the Acquainted."

When the Prophet confided a matter to one of his wives, but when she divulged it [instead of guarding the secret] and Allah apprised him about it, he acquainted [her] with part of the matter and ignored part of it. So when he told her about it, she said, ‘Who informed you about it?’ He said, ‘The All-knowing and the All-aware has informed me.’

When the Prophet confided a fact unto one of his wives and when she afterward divulged it and Allah apprised him thereof, he made known (to her) part thereof and passed over part. And when he told it her she said: Who hath told thee? He said: The Knower, the Aware hath told me.

When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."

And when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a certain matter; and then, when she told of it, and God disclosed that to him, he made known part of it, and turned aside from part; then, when he told her of it, she said, 'Who told thee this?' He said, 'I was told of it by the All-knowing, the All-aware.'

و هنگامی که پیامبر، رازی را به یکی از همسرانش گفت و او آن راز را [نزد زن دیگر] فاش کرد، و خدا پیامبر را از افشای آن آگاه نمود، پیامبر بخشی از آن [راز افشا شده] را به آن زن گوشزد کرد و از گفتن بخشی دیگر [برای آنکه فاش کننده بیشتر شرمنده نشود] خودداری نمود. آن زن گفت: چه کسی فاش کردن راز را [به وسیله من] به تو خبر داده است؟ پیامبر گفت: دانای آگاه، به من خبر داد.

و چون پیامبر با یکی از همسرانش سخنی نهانی گفت، و همین که وی آن را [به زن دیگر] گزارش داد و خدا [پیامبر] را بر آن مطلع گردانید [پیامبر] بخشی از آن را اظهار کرد و از بخشی [دیگر] اعراض نمود. پس چون [مطلب‌] را به آن [زن‌] خبر داد، وی گفت: «چه کسی این را به تو خبر داده؟» گفت: «مرا آن دانای آگاه خبر داده است.»

Peygamber, eşlerinden birine gizlice bir söz söylemişti. O, bunu Peygamberin diğer bir eşine haber verince, Allah da Peygambere durumu bildirmiş, o da bir kısmını yüzüne vurmuş bir kısmını yüzüne vurmaktan geri durmuştu. Eşine, gizlice söylediği şeyibaşkasına nakletmiş olduğunu bildirince, eşi: "Bunu sana kim haber verdi?" demiş, o da: "Bana, herşeyi bilen ve herşeyden haberdar olan Allah haber verdi" demişti.

Dan ingatlah ketika Nabi membicarakan secara rahasia kepada salah seorang isterinya (Hafsah) suatu peristiwa. Maka tatkala (Hafsah) menceritakan peristiwa itu (kepada Aisyah) dan Allah memberitahukan hal itu (pembicaraan Hafsah dan Aisyah) kepada Muhammad lalu Muhammad memberitahukan sebagian (yang diberitakan Allah kepadanya) dan menyembunyikan sebagian yang lain (kepada Hafsah). Maka tatkala (Muhammad) memberitahukan pembicaraan (antara Hafsah dan Aisyah) lalu (Hafsah) bertanya: "Siapakah yang telah memberitahukan hal ini kepadamu?" Nabi menjawab: "Telah diberitahukan kepadaku oleh Allah yang Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Mengenal".

اور جب نبی نے اپنی بعض ازواج سے راز کی بات بتائی اور اس نے دوسری کو باخبر کردیا اور خدا نے نبی پر ظاہر کردیا تو نبی نے بعض باتوں کو اسے بتایا اور بعض سے اعراض کیا پھر جب اسے باخبر کیا تو اس نے پوچھا کہ آپ کو کس نے بتایا ہے تو آپ نے کہا کہ خدائے علیم و خبیرنے

যখন নবী তাঁর একজন স্ত্রীর কাছে একটি কথা গোপনে বললেন, অতঃপর স্ত্রী যখন তা বলে দিল এবং আল্লাহ নবীকে তা জানিয়ে দিলেন, তখন নবী সে বিষয়ে স্ত্রীকে কিছু বললেন এবং কিছু বললেন না। নবী যখন তা স্ত্রীকে বললেন, তখন স্ত্রী বললেনঃ কে আপনাকে এ সম্পর্কে অবহিত করল? নবী বললেন,ঃ যিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, ওয়াকিফহাল, তিনি আমাকে অবহিত করেছেন।
