Or have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which Allah has not consented? But if not for the decisive word, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.

Do they have deities [besides Allah] who have ordained for them a religion not permitted by Allah? Were it not for a [prior] conclusive word, judgement would have been made between them, and indeed a painful punishment awaits the wrongdoers.

Or have they partners (of Allah) who have made lawful for them in religion that which Allah allowed not? And but for a decisive word (gone forth already), it would have been judged between them. Lo! for wrong-doers is a painful doom.

What! have they partners (in godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of Allah? Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the Wrong-doers will have a grievous Penalty.

Or have they associates who have laid down for them as religion that for which God gave not leave? But for the Word of Decision, it had been decided between them. For the evildoers there awaits a painful chastisement.

آیا مشرکان و کافران معبودانی دارند که بی اذن خدا آیینی را برای آنان پایه گذاری کرده اند؟ [در صورتی که پایه گذاری آیین، حق ویژه خداست و کسی را نرسد که از نزد خود آیینی بسازد] اگر فرمان قاطعانه خدا بر مهلت یافتنشان نبود، مسلماً میانشان [به نابودی و هلاکت] حکم می شد؛ و بی تردید برای ستمکاران عذابی دردناک خواهد بود.

آیا برای آنان شریکانی است که در آنچه خدا بدان اجازه نداده، برایشان بنیاد آیینی نهاده‌اند؟ و اگر فرمان قاطع [در باره تأخیر عذاب در کار] نبود مسلماً میانشان داوری می‌شد؛ و برای ستمکاران شکنجه‌ای پر درد است.

Yoksa, Allah'ın dinde izin vermediği bir şeyi onlara meşru kılacak ortakları mı vardır? Eğer kesin yargı bulunmayacak olsaydı aralarında hemen hükmedilirdi. Doğrusu, zalimlere can yakıcı azap vardır.

Apakah mereka mempunyai sembahan-sembahan selain Allah yang mensyariatkan untuk mereka agama yang tidak diizinkan Allah? Sekiranya tak ada ketetapan yang menentukan (dari Allah) tentulah mereka telah dibinasakan. Dan sesungguhnya orang-orang yang zalim itu akan memperoleh azab yang amat pedih.

کیا ان کے لئے ایسے شرکائ بھی ہیں جنہوں نے دین کے وہ راستے مقرّر کئے ہیں جن کی خدا نے اجازت بھی نہیں دی ہے اور اگر فیصلہ کے دن کا وعدہ نہ ہوگیا ہوتا تو اب تک ان کے درمیان فیصلہ کردیا گیا ہوتا اور یقینا ظالموں کے لئے بڑا دردناک عذاب ہے

তাদের কি এমন শরীক দেবতা আছে, যারা তাদের জন্যে সে ধর্ম সিদ্ধ করেছে, যার অনুমতি আল্লাহ দেননি ? যদি চুড়ান্ত সিন্ধান্ত না থাকত, তবে তাদের ব্যাপারে ফয়সালা হয়ে যেত। নিশ্চয় যালেমদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।
