وَلَوْلَا عَلَيْكُمْ فِى فِى مَآ فِيهِ ﴿١٤﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [lie] in which you were involved by a great punishment

  • ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

    Then you turned away after that. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have been among the losers.

  • جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا وَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ

    [It is] Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the settlement.

  • وَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُن مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا

    And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them."
