When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous.

when you were receiving it on your tongues, and were mouthing something of which you had no knowledge, supposing it to be a light matter, while it was a grave [matter] with Allah.

When ye welcomed it with your tongues, and uttered with your mouths that whereof ye had no knowledge, ye counted it a trifle. In the sight of Allah it is very great.

Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

When you received it on your tongues, and were speaking with your mouths that whereof you had no knowledge, and reckoned it a light thing, and with God it was a mighty thing --

چون [که آن تهمت بزرگ را] زبان به زبان از یکدیگر می گرفتید و با دهان هایتان چیزی می گفتید که هیچ معرفت و شناختی به آن نداشتید و آن را [عملی] ناچیز و سبک می پنداشتید و در حالی که نزد خدا بزرگ بود.

آنگاه که آن [بهتان‌] را از زبان یکدیگر می‌گرفتید و با زبانهای خود چیزی را که بدان علم نداشتید، می‌گفتید و می‌پنداشتید که کاری سهل و ساده است با اینکه آن [امر] نزد خدا بس بزرگ بود.

Onu dilinize dolamıştınız. Bilmediğiniz şeyleri ağzınıza alıyordunuz. Onu önemsiz bir şey sanıyordunuz, oysa Allah katında önemi büyüktü.

(Ingatlah) di waktu kamu menerima berita bohong itu dari mulut ke mulut dan kamu katakan dengan mulutmu apa yang tidak kamu ketahui sedikit juga, dan kamu menganggapnya suatu yang ringan saja. Padahal dia pada sisi Allah adalah besar.

جب تم اپنی زبان سے چرچا کررہے تھے اور اپنے منہ سے وہ بات نکال رہے تھے جس کا تمہیں علم بھی نہیں تھا اور تم اسے بہت معمولی بات سمجھ رہے تھے حالانکہ اللہ کے نزدیک وہ بہت بڑی بات تھی

যখন তোমরা একে মুখে মুখে ছড়াচ্ছিলে এবং মুখে এমন বিষয় উচ্চারণ করছিলে, যার কোন জ্ঞান তোমাদের ছিল না। তোমরা একে তুচ্ছ মনে করছিলে, অথচ এটা আল্লাহর কাছে গুরুতর ব্যাপার ছিল।
