    From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;

  • قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ

    He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,

  • يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ

    Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

  • خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ

    Created man,

  • فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

    So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
