Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, "O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?" And he became of the regretful.

Then Allah sent a crow, exploring in the ground, to show him how to bury the corpse of his brother. He said, ‘Woe to me! Am I unable to be [even] like this crow and bury my brother’s corpse?’ Thus he became regretful.

Then Allah sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother's naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother's naked corpse? And he became repentant.

Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets-

Then God sent forth a raven, scratching into the earth, to show him how he might conceal the vile body of his brother. He said, 'Woe is me! Am I unable to be as this raven, and so conceal my brother's vile body?' And he became one of the remorseful.

پس [در کنار جسد برادرش سرگردان بود که] خدا کلاغی را برانگیخت که زمین را می کاوید تا به او نشان دهد که چگونه جسد برادرش را پنهان کند. [با دیدن حرکات کلاغ] فریاد زد: وای بر من! آیا ناتوان و عاجز بودم از اینکه مانند این کلاغ باشم تا جسد برادرم را پنهان کنم؟! نهایتاً از پشیمانان شد.

پس، خدا زاغی را برانگیخت که زمین را می‌کاوید، تا به او نشان دهد چگونه جسد برادرش را پنهان کند. [قابیل‌] گفت: «وای بر من، آیا عاجزم که مثل این زاغ باشم تا جسد برادرم را پنهان کنم؟» پس از [زمره ]پشیمانان گردید.

Allah, kardeşinin ölüsünü nasıl gömeceğini göstermek üzere, ona yeri eşeleyen bir karga gönderdi. "Bana yazıklar olsun! Kardeşimin ölüsünü örtmek için bu karga kadar olmaktan aciz kaldım" dedi de ettiğine yananlardan oldu.

Kemudian Allah menyuruh seekor burung gagak menggali-gali di bumi untuk memperlihatkan kepadanya (Qabil) bagaimana seharusnya menguburkan mayat saudaranya. Berkata Qabil: "Aduhai celaka aku, mengapa aku tidak mampu berbuat seperti burung gagak ini, lalu aku dapat menguburkan mayat saudaraku ini?" Karena itu jadilah dia seorang diantara orang-orang yang menyesal.

پھر خدا نے ایک کوّا بھیجا جو زمین کھود رہا تھا کہ اسے دکھلائے کہ بھائی کی لاش کو کس طرح چھپائے گا تو اس نے کہا کہ افسوس میں اس کوّے کے جیسا بھی نہ ہوسکا کہ اپنے بھائی کی لاش کو زمین میں چھاَپا دیتا اور اس طرح وہ نادمین اور پشیمان لوگوں میں شامل ہوگیا

আল্লাহ এক কাক প্রেরণ করলেন। সে মাটি খনন করছিল যাতে তাকে শিক্ষা দেয় যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ কিভাবে আবৃত করবে। সে বললঃ আফসোস, আমি কি এ কাকের সমতুল্যও হতে পারলাম না যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ আবৃত করি। অতঃপর সে অনুতাপ করতে লাগল।
