She said, "That is the one about whom you blamed me. And I certainly sought to seduce him, but he firmly refused; and if he will not do what I order him, he will surely be imprisoned and will be of those debased."

She said, ‘He is the one on whose account you blamed me. Certainly, I did solicit him, but he was continent, and if he does not do what I bid him, surely he shall be imprisoned and humbled.’

She said: This is he on whose account ye blamed me. I asked of him an evil act, but he proved continent, but if he do not my behest he verily shall be imprisoned, and verily shall be of those brought low.

She said: "There before you is the man about whom ye did blame me! I did seek to seduce him from his (true) self but he did firmly save himself guiltless!.... and now, if he doth not my bidding, he shall certainly be cast into prison, and (what is more) be of the company of the vilest!"

'So now you see, she said. 'This is he you blamed me for. Yes, I solicited him, but he abstained. Yet if he will not do what I command him, he shall be imprisoned, and be one of the humbled.'

بانوی کاخ گفت: این همان کسی است که مرا درباره عشق او سرزنش کردید. به راستی من از او خواستار کام جویی شدم، ولی او در برابر خواست من به شدت خودداری کرد، و اگر فرمانم را اجرا نکند یقیناً خوار و حقیر به زندان خواهد رفت.

[زلیخا] گفت: «این همان است که در باره او سرزنشم می‌کردید. آری، من از او کام خواستم و[لی‌] او خود را نگاه داشت، و اگر آنچه را به او دستور می‌دهم نکند قطعاً زندانی خواهد شد و حتماً از خوارشدگان خواهد گردید.»

Vezirin karısı: "İşte sözünü edip beni yerdiğiniz budur. And olsun ki onun olmak istedim, fakat o iffetinden dolayı çekindi. Emrimi yine yapmazsa, and olsun ki hapse tıkılacak ve kahre uğrayanlardan olacak."

Wanita itu berkata: "Itulah dia orang yang kamu cela aku karena (tertarik) kepadanya, dan sesungguhnya aku telah menggoda dia untuk menundukkan dirinya (kepadaku) akan tetapi dia menolak. Dan sesungguhnya jika dia tidak mentaati apa yang aku perintahkan kepadanya, niscaya dia akan dipenjarakan dan dia akan termasuk golongan orang-orang yang hina".

زلیخا نے کہا کہ یہی وہ ہے جس کے بارے میں تم لوگوں نے میری ملامت کی ہے اور میں نے اسے کھینچنا چاہا تھا کہ یہ بچ کر نکل گیا اور جب میری بات نہیں مانی تو اب قید کیا جائے گا اور ذلیل بھی ہوگا

মহিলা বললঃ এ ঐ ব্যক্তি, যার জন্যে তোমরা আমাকে ভৎর্সনা করছিলে। আমি ওরই মন জয় করতে চেয়েছিলাম। কিন্তু সে নিজেকে নিবৃত্ত রেখেছে। আর আমি যা আদেশ দেই, সে যদি তা না করে, তবে অবশ্যই সে কারাগারে প্রেরিত হবে এবং লাঞ্চিত হবে।
