اولیای خدا ترس و غمی ندارند

اولیا» جمع ولی است که به معنای نبودن واسطه میان دو چیز و نزدیکی و پی در پی بودن آنها است. بنابر این اولیای خدا کسانی هستند که میان آنان و خدا حایل و فاصله‌ای نیست؛ حجاب‌ها از قلبشان کنار رفته و در پرتو نور معرفت و ایمان و عمل پاکه» خدا را با چشم دل چنان می‌بینند که هیچ‌گونه شک و تردیدی به دل‌هایشان راه نمی‌پاید و به خاطر همین آشنایی با خدا که وجود ی‌انتها و قدرت بی‌پایان و کمال مطلق استء غیر خدا در نظرشان کوچک و کم‌ارزش و ناپایدار و بی‌مقدار است.کسی که با اقیانوس آشنا است» قطره در نظرش ارزشی ندارد و کسی که خورشید را می‌بیند به یک شمع بی‌فروغ بی‌اعتنا است. به همین جهت» ترس و اندوهی در وجود ایشان راه ندارد؛ زیرا ترس به خاطر از دست دادن نعمت‌هایی است که انسان در اختیار دارد یا خطراتی که ممکن است در آینده او را تهدید کند. و غم و اندوه به خاطر از دست دادن نعمت‌هایی است که در گذشته در اختیار آدمی بوده و اکنون از دست رفته است. اولیاء و دوستان راستین خدا اما از هرگونه وابستگی و اسارت جهان ماده آزادند و غم‌ها و ترس‌هایی که دیگران را پیوسته در حال اضطراب و نگرانی از گذشته و آینده نگه می‌دارد» در وجود آنها راه ندارد. در رواینی آمده است که از امام علی(ع) در ذیل این آیه و در وصف اولیای خدا سوال شد. امام فرمود: «اولیای خدا مردمی هستند که برای خدا عبادت را خالصانه به‌جا می‌آورند و در حالی که سایر مردم تنها ظاهر دنیا را می‌بینند, به باطن آن نظر می‌افکنند و (با این ژرف‌نگری)» آثار دیررس دنیا را می‌شناسند؛ در حالی که مردم دیگر, فریفتةٌ زرق و برق زودگذر آن شده‌اند. پس چون دانستند که دنیا به زودی آنها را رها می‌کند. آن را رها کردند و چون دانستند که دنیا به زودی آنها را می‌میراند. دوستی آن را در دل‌هایشان میراندند.» در روایتی از امام صادق(ع) می‌خوانیم: «خوشا به حال پیروان امام قائم(عج) که در غیبتش (با خودسازی) انتظار ظهور را می‌کشند. و به هنگام ظهورش, مطیع فرمان اویند. آنان اولیای خدا هستند؛ همان‌ها که نه ترسی دارند و نه غمگین می‌شوند.»
