Indeed, Qarun was from the people of Moses, but he tyrannized them. And We gave him of treasures whose keys would burden a band of strong men; thereupon his people said to him, "Do not exult. Indeed, Allah does not like the exultant.

Korah indeed belonged to the people of Moses, but he bullied them. We had given him so much treasures that their chests indeed proved heavy for a band of stalwarts. When his people said to him, ‘Do not boast! Indeed Allah does not like the boasters.

Now Korah was of Moses' folk, but he oppressed them; and We gave him so much treasure that the stores thereof would verily have been a burden for a troop of mighty men. When his own folk said unto him: Exult not; lo! Allah loveth not the exultant;

Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures We had bestowed on him that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men, behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches).

Now Korah was of the people of Moses; he became insolent to them, for We had given him treasures such that the very keys of them were too heavy a burden for a company of men endowed with strength. When his people said to him, 'Do not exult; God loves not those that exult;

همانا قارون از قوم موسی بود که بر آنان تعدی و تجاوز کرد، و از گنجینه های مال و ثروت آن اندازه به او دادیم که حمل کلیدهایش بر گروهی نیرومند گران و دشوار می آمد. [یاد کن] هنگامی که قومش به او گفتند: [متکبرانه و مغرورانه] شادی مکن، قطعاً خدا شادمانان [متکبر و مغرور] را دوست ندارد.

قارون از قوم موسی بود و بر آنان ستم کرد، و از گنجینه‌ها آن قدر به او داده بودیم که کلیدهای آنها بر گروه نیرومندی سنگین می‌آمد، آنگاه که قوم وی بدو گفتند: «شادی مکن که خدا شادی‌کنندگان را دوست نمی‌دارد.

Karun, Musa'nın milletindendi; ama onlara karşı azdı. Biz ona, anahtarlarını güçlü bir topluluğun zor taşıdığı hazineler vermiştik. Milleti ona: "Böbürlenme, Allah şüphesiz ki böbürlenenleri sevmez. Allah'ın sana verdiği şeylerde, ahiret yurdunu gözet, dünyadaki payını da unutma; Allah'ın sana yaptığı iyilik gibi, sen de iyilik yap; yeryüzünde bozgunculuk isteme; doğrusu Allah bozguncuları sevmez" demişlerdi.

Sesungguhnya Karun adalah termasuk kaum Musa, maka ia berlaku aniaya terhadap mereka, dan Kami telah menganugerahkan kepadanya perbendaharaan harta yang kunci-kuncinya sungguh berat dipikul oleh sejumlah orang yang kuat-kuat. (Ingatlah) ketika kaumnya berkata kepadanya: "Janganlah kamu terlalu bangga; sesungguhnya Allah tidak menyukai orang-orang yang terlalu membanggakan diri".

بیشک قارون موسٰی کی قوم میں سے تھا مگر اس نے قوم پر ظلم کیا اور ہم نے بھی اسے اتنے خزانے دے دیئے تھے کہ ایک طاقت ور جماعت سے بھی اس کی کنجیاں نہیں اٹھ سکتی تھیں پھر جب اس سے قوم نے کہا کہ اس قدر نہ اتراؤ کہ خدا اترانے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا ہے

কারুন ছিল মূসার সম্প্রদায়ভুক্ত। অতঃপর সে তাদের প্রতি দুষ্টামি করতে আরম্ভ করল। আমি তাকে এত ধন-ভান্ডার দান করেছিলাম যার চাবি বহন করা কয়েকজন শক্তিশালী লোকের পক্ষে কষ্টসাধ্য ছিল। যখন তার সম্প্রদায় তাকে বলল, দম্ভ করো না, আল্লাহ দাম্ভিকদেরকে ভালবাসেন না।
