در ذیل این آیه گفته‌اند که ویرانه‌های شهرهای بّلادیدةٌ قوم لوط بر سر راه مسافران و کاروان‌هایی که از مدینه به شام می‌رفتندء قرار داشته است و آنها به وضوح آن را مشاهده می‌کردند. در یه ۷۹ نیز به این مطلب اشاره شده است.
