همه آنان [به صورت متحد و یک پارچه] با شما نمی جنگند مگر در آبادی هایی که دارای حصار و قلعه و دژ هستند، یا از پشت دیوارها، دلاوری آنان میان خودشان شدید است [ولی از رویارویی با شما می ترسند]، آنان را متحد و هم دست می پنداری در حالی که دل هایشان پراکنده است؛ زیرا آنان گروهی هستند که تعقّل نمی کنند.

[آنان، به صورت‌] دسته جمعی، جز در قریه‌هایی که دارای استحکاماتند، یا از پشت دیوارها، با شما نخواهند جنگید. جنگشان میان خودشان سخت است. آنان را متحد می‌پنداری و[لی‌] دلهایشان پراکنده است، زیرا آنان مردمانی‌اند که نمی‌اندیشند.

Onlar sizinle toplu olarak, ancak surla çevrilmiş kasabalar içinde veya duvarlar arkasından savaşı kabul edebilirler. Kendi aralarındaki çekişmeleri ise serttir; onları birlik sanırsın, oysa kalbleri birbirinden ayrıdır. Bu, akletmeyen bir topluluk olmalarındandır.

Mereka tidak akan memerangi kamu dalam keadaan bersatu padu, kecuali dalam kampung-kampung yang berbenteng atau di balik tembok. Permusuhan antara sesama mereka adalah sangat hebat. Kamu kira mereka itu bersatu, sedang hati mereka berpecah belah. Yang demikian itu karena sesungguhnya mereka adalah kaum yang tidak mengerti.

یہ کبھی تم سے اجتماعی طور پر جنگ نہ کریں گے مگر یہ کہ محفوظ بستیوں میں ہوں یا دیواروں کے پیچھے ہوں ان کی دھاک آپس میں بہت ہے اور تم یہ خیال کرتے ہو کہ یہ سب متحد ہیں ہرگز نہیں ان کے دلوں میں سخت تفرقہ ہے اور یہ اس لئے کہ اس قوم کے پاس عقل نہیں ہے

তারা সংঘবদ্ধভাবেও তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে পারবে না। তারা যুদ্ধ করবে কেবল সুরক্ষিত জনপদে অথবা দুর্গ প্রাচীরের আড়াল থেকে। তাদের পারস্পরিক যুদ্ধই প্রচন্ড হয়ে থাকে। আপনি তাদেরকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ মনে করবেন; কিন্তু তাদের অন্তর শতধাবিচ্ছিন্ন। এটা এ কারণে যে, তারা এক কান্ডজ্ঞানহীণ সম্প্রদায়।
