How many a town defied the command of its Lord and His apostles, then We called it to a severe account and punished it with a dire punishment.

And how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its Lord and His messengers, and We called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment,

How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment.

چه بسیار آبادی ها که [اهلش] از فرمان پروردگارشان و فرستادگانش روی برگرداندند، پس ما آنان را به حساب سختی محاسبه کردیم و به عذاب بسیار شدیدی عذاب نمودیم؛

و چه بسیار شهرها که از فرمان پروردگار خود و پیامبرانش سر پیچیدند و از آنها حسابی سخت کشیدیم و آنان را به عذابی [بس‌] زشت عذاب کردیم.

Rablerinin ve O'nun peygamberlerinin buyruğundan çıkan nice kasabalar halkını Biz, çetin bir hesaba çekmiş, onları, görülmedik bir azaba uğratmışızdır.

Dan berapalah banyaknya (penduduk) negeri yang mendurhakai perintah Tuhan mereka dan Rasul-rasul-Nya, maka Kami hisab penduduk negeri itu dengan hisab yang keras, dan Kami azab mereka dengan azab yang mengerikan.

اور کتنی ہی بستیاں ہیں جنہوں نے حکم خدا و رسول کی نافرمانی کی تو ہم نے ان کا شدید محاسبہ کرلیا اور انہیں بدترین عذاب میں متبلا کردیا

অনেক জনপদ তাদের পালনকর্তা ও তাঁর রসূলগণের আদেশ অমান্য করেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে কঠোর হিসাবে ধৃত করেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম।
