And [recall] when We took your covenant and raised over you the mount, [saying], "Take what We have given you with determination and listen." They said [instead], "We hear and disobey." And their hearts absorbed [the worship of] the calf because of their disbelief. Say, "How wretched is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you should be believers."

And when We took covenant with you and raised the Mount above you, [declaring], ‘Hold on with power to what We have given you, and do listen!’ They said, ‘We hear, and disobey,’ and their hearts had been imbued with [the love of] the Calf, due to their unfaith. Say, ‘Evil is that to which your faith prompts you, should you be faithful!’

And when We made with you a covenant and caused the Mount to tower above you, (saying): Hold fast by that which We have given you, and hear (Our Word), they said: We hear and we rebel. And (worship of) the calf was made to sink into their hearts because of their rejection (of the covenant). Say (unto them): Evil is that which your belief enjoineth on you, if ye are believers.

And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and hearken (to the Law)": They said:" We hear, and we disobey:" And they had to drink into their hearts (of the taint) of the calf because of their Faithlessness. Say: "Vile indeed are the behests of your Faith if ye have any faith!"

And when We took compact with you, and raised over you the Mount: 'Take forcefully what We have given you and give ear.' They said, 'We hear, and rebel'; and they were made to drink the Calf in their hearts for their unbelief. Say: 'Evil is the thing your faith bids you to, if you are believers.'

و [یاد کنید] زمانی که از شما [برای پیروی از موسی] پیمان گرفتیم، و کوه طور را بالای سرتان برافراشتیم [و گفتیم:] آنچه را [چون تورات] به شما دادیم با قدرت و قوّت دریافت کنید [و دستورهای ما و پیامبرتان را بشنوید، به ظاهر] گفتند: شنیدیم و [در باطن گفتند:] نافرمانی کردیم. و به سبب کفرشان دوستی گوساله با دل هایشان در آمیخت. بگو: اگر شما مؤمن هستید [و ایمانتان شما را به این همه ظلم و جنایت و فساد فرمان می دهد] پس بد چیزی است آنچه ایمانتان به آن فرمان می دهد.

و آنگاه که از شما پیمان محکم گرفتیم، و [کوه‌] طور را بر فراز شما برافراشتیم، [و گفتیم:] «آنچه را به شما داده‌ایم به جد و جهد بگیرید، و [به دستورهای آن‌] گوش فرا دهید.» گفتند: «شنیدیم و نافرمانی کردیم.» و بر اثر کفرشان، [مِهر ]گوساله در دلشان سرشته شد. بگو: «اگر مؤمنید [بدانید که‌] ایمانتان شما را به بد چیزی وامی‌دارد.»

Sizden kesin söz almış ve Tur'u tepenize dikmiştik, "Size verdiğimize kuvvetle sarılın ve dinleyin" demiştik "İşittik ve karşı geldik" dediler de inkarları yüzünden buzağı sevgisi kalblerine sindirildi. De ki, "Eğer inanmışsanız, imanınız size ne kötü şey emrediyor?"

Dan (ingatlah), ketika Kami mengambil janji dari kamu dan Kami angkat bukit (Thursina) di atasmu (seraya Kami berfirman): "Peganglah teguh-teguh apa yang Kami berikan kepadamu dan dengarkanlah!" Katakanlah: "Amat jahat perbuatan yang telah diperintahkan imanmu kepadamu jika betul kamu beriman (kepada Taurat).

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ہم نے تم سے توریت پر عمل کرنے کا عہد لیا اور تمہارے سروں پر کوسِ طور کو معلق کردیا کہ توریت کو مضبوطی سئے پکڑلو تو انہوں نے ڈر کے مارے فورا اقرار کرلیا کہ ہم نے سن تو لیا لیکن پھر نافرمانی بھی کریں گے کہ ان کے دلوں میں گو سالہ کی محبت گھول کر پلادی گئی ہے. پیغمبر ان سے کہہ دو کہ اگر تم ایماندار ہو تو تمہارا ایمان بہت برے احکام دیتا ہے

আর যখন আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি নিলাম এবং তুর পর্বতকে তোমাদের উপর তুলে ধরলাম যে, শক্ত করে ধর, আমি যা তোমাদের দিয়েছি আর শোন। তারা বলল, আমরা শুনেছি আর অমান্য করেছি। কুফরের কারণে তাদের অন্তরে গোবৎসপ্রীতি পান করানো হয়েছিল। বলে দিন, তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হলে, তোমাদের সে বিশ্বাস মন্দ বিষয়াদি শিক্ষা দেয়।
