And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied and another party you killed.

Certainly, We gave Moses the Book and followed him with the apostles, and We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, manifest proofs and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit. Is it not that whenever an apostle brought you that which was not to your liking, you would act arrogantly; so you would impugn a group [of them], and slay a[nother] group?

And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant, and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay?

We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!

And We gave to Moses the Book, and after him sent succeeding Messengers; and We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear signs, and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit; and whensoever there came to you a Messenger with that your souls had not desire for, did you become arrogant, and some cry lies to, and some slay?

و یقیناً ما به موسی کتاب دادیم و پس از او پیامبرانی به دنبال هم فرستادیم، و به عیسی بن مریم دلایل روشن و آشکار عطا نمودیم، و او را به وسیله روح القدس توانایی بخشیدیم؛ پس چرا هرگاه پیامبری آیین و احکامی که مطابق هوا و هوستان نبود برای شما آورد، سرکشی کردید؟ پس [نبوّتِ] گروهی را تکذیب نمودید وگروهی را می کشتید.

و همانا به موسی کتاب [تورات‌] را دادیم، و پس از او پیامبرانی را پشت سر هم فرستادیم، و عیسی پسر مریم را معجزه‌های آشکار بخشیدیم، و او را با «روح القدس» تأیید کردیم؛ پس چرا هر گاه پیامبری چیزی را که خوشایند شما نبود برایتان آورد، کبر ورزیدید؟ گروهی را دروغگو خواندید و گروهی را کشتید.

And olsun ki, Musa'ya kitap verdik, ondan sonra ardarda peygamberler gönderdik. Meryem oğlu İsa'ya belgeler verdik, onu Ruhul Kudüs ile destekledik. Size bir peygamber nefsinizin hoşlanmadığı bir şey getirdikçe, büyüklük taslayarak, bir kısmını yalancı sayıp, bir kısmını öldürür müsünüz?

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah mendatangkan Al Kitab (Taurat) kepada Musa, dan Kami telah menyusulinya (berturut-turut) sesudah itu dengan rasul-rasul, dan telah Kami berikan bukti-bukti kebenaran (mukjizat) kepada Isa putera Maryam dan Kami memperkuatnya dengan Ruhul Qudus. Apakah setiap datang kepadamu seorang rasul membawa sesuatu (pelajaran) yang tidak sesuai dengan keinginanmu lalu kamu menyombong; maka beberapa orang (diantara mereka) kamu dustakan dan beberapa orang (yang lain) kamu bunuh?

ہم نے موسٰی علیھ السّلام کو کتاب دی ان کے پیچھے رسولوںکا سلسلہ قائم کیا. عیسٰی علیھ السّلام بن مریم کو واضح معجزات عطا کئےً روح القدس سے ان کی تائید کرادی لیکن کیا تمہارا مستقل طریقہ یہی ہے کہ جب کوئی رسول علیھ السّلام تمہاری خواہش کے خلاف کوئی پیغام لے کر آتا ہے تو اکڑ جاتے ہو اور ایک جماعت کو جھٹلا دیتے ہو اور ایک کو قتل کردیتے ہو

অবশ্যই আমি মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছি। এবং তার পরে পর্যায়ক্রমে রসূল পাঠিয়েছি। আমি মরিয়ম তনয় ঈসাকে সুস্পষ্ট মোজেযা দান করেছি এবং পবিত্র রূহের মাধ্যমে তাকে শক্তিদান করেছি। অতঃপর যখনই কোন রসূল এমন নির্দেশ নিয়ে তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে, যা তোমাদের মনে ভাল লাগেনি, তখনই তোমরা অহংকার করেছ। শেষ পর্যন্ত তোমরা একদলকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছ এবং একদলকে হত্যা করেছ।
