لَا إِلَّا كَذَٰلِكَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.

نکاتی در بارةٌ عذاب قوم عاد

مفسران گفته‌اند که مدتی بر قوم عاد باران نازل نشد و هوا گرم و خشک و خفه‌کننده شده بود. هنگامی که چشم قوم عاد به ابرهای تیره و تار و گسترده‌ای که از افق‌های دور دست به سوی آسمان آنها در حرکت بودء افتاد» بسیار خوشحال شدند و به استقبال آن شتافتند و در کنار دره‌ها و سیل‌گیرها آمدند تا منظرة نزول باران پر برکت را ببینند و روحی تازه کنند؛ ولی به زودی به آنها گفته شد که این ابر باران‌زا نیست؛ این همان عذاب وحشتناکی است که برای آمدنش شتاب داشتید. آری» تند بادی ویرانگر بر آنها وزیدن گرفت و آنها و اموالنشان را نابود کرد و سپس اجساد و اموالشان نیز به وسیلة تندباد به بیابان‌های دوردست یا درون دریا افکنده شد. بعضی گفته‌اند زمانی متوجه شدند که این ابر سیا» تندباد پر گرد و غباری است که نزدیک سرزمین آنها رسید و چهارپایان و چوپان‌های آنها را که در بیابان‌های اطراف بودندء از زمین برداشت و به هوا برد خیمه‌ها را از جا کند و چنان بالا برد که به‌صورت ملخی دیده می‌شدند. هنگامی که آنان این صحنه را دیدند. فرار کردند و به خانه های خود پناه بردند و درها را به روی خود بستند؛ اما باد درها را از جا کند و آنها را بر زمین کوبید یا با خود برد و شن‌های روان یا همان احقاف را بر پیکر آنها گسترد. در آیة ۷ سورةٌ حاقه آمده است: «(خداوند) این تندباد بنیان‌کن را هفت شب و هشت روز پی در پی بر آنها مسلط ساخت و (اگر آنجا بودی) می‌دیدی که آن قوم همچون تنه‌های پوسیده و توخالی درختان نخل در میان این تندباد روی زمین افتاده و هلاک شده‌اند.» آنها پیوسته زیر تلی از شن و ماسه ناله می‌کردند. سپس تندباده شن‌ها را با خود برد که بار دیگر بدن هایشان نمایان گشت و آنها را بر گرفت و به دریا ریخت.
