And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?"

Had We destroyed them with a punishment before it, they would have surely said, ‘Our Lord! Why did You not send us an apostle so that we might have followed Your signs before we were abased and disgraced?’

And if we had destroyed them with some punishment before it, they would assuredly have said: Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent unto us a messenger, so that we might have followed Thy revelations before we were (thus) humbled and disgraced!

And if We had inflicted on them a penalty before this, they would have said: "Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed Thy Signs before we were humbled and put to shame."

Had We destroyed them with a chastisement aforetime, they would have said, 'Our Lord, why didst Thou not send us a Messenger, so that we might have followed Thy signs before that we were humiliated and degraded?'

و اگر آنان را پیش از نزول قرآن هلاک می کردیم، قطعاً می گفتند: پروردگارا! چرا رسولی به سوی ما نفرستادی تا پیش از آنکه خوار و رسوا شویم، آیات تو را پیروی کنیم.

و اگر ما آنان را قبل از [آمدن قرآن‌] به عذابی هلاک می‌کردیم، قطعاً می‌گفتند: «پروردگارا، چرا پیامبری به سوی ما نفرستادی تا پیش از آنکه خوار و رسوا شویم از آیات تو پیروی کنیم؟»

Eğer onları ondan önce bir azaba uğratarak yok etseydik: "Rabbimiz! Bize bir peygamber gönderseydin de, alçak ve rezil olmazdan önce ayetlerine uysaydık, olmaz mıydı?" diyeceklerdi.

Dan sekiranya Kami binasakan mereka dengan suatu azab sebelum Al Quran itu (diturunkan), tentulah mereka berkata: "Ya Tuhan kami, mengapa tidak Engkau utus seorang rasul kepada kami, lalu kami mengikuti ayat-ayat Engkau sebelum kami menjadi hina dan rendah?"

اور اگر ہم نے رسول سے پہلے انہیں عذاب کرکے ہلاک کردیا ہوتا تو یہ کہتے پروردگار تو نے ہماری طرف رسول کیوں نہیں بھیجا کہ ہم ذلیل اور رسوا ہونے سے پہلے ہی تیری نشانیوں کا اتباع کرلیتے

যদি আমি এদেরকে ইতিপূর্বে কোন শাস্তি দ্বারা ধ্বংস করতাম, তবে এরা বলতঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আপনি আমাদের কাছে একজন রসূল প্রেরণ করলেন না কেন? তাহলে তো আমরা অপমানিত ও হেয় হওয়ার পূর্বেই আপনার নিদর্শন সমূহ মেনে চলতাম।
