[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"

He said, ‘O Iblis! What keeps you from prostrating before that which I have created with My [own] two hands? Are you arrogant, or are you one of the exalted ones?’

He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted?

(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"

Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?'

[خدا] فرمود: ای ابلیس! تو را چه چیزی از سجده کردن بر آنچه که با دستان قدرت خود آفریدم، بازداشت؟ آیا تکبّر کردی یا از بلند مرتبه گانی؟

فرمود: «ای ابلیس، چه چیز تو را مانع شد که برای چیزی که به دستان قدرت خویش خلق کردم سجده آوری؟ آیا تکبر نمودی یا از [جمله‌] برتری‌جویانی؟»

Allah: "Ey İblis, ellerimle (kudretimle) yarattığıma secde etmekten seni alıkoyan nedir? Böbürlendin mi? Yoksa gururlananlardan mısın?" dedi.

Allah berfirman: "Hai iblis, apakah yang menghalangi kamu sujud kepada yang telah Ku-ciptakan dengan kedua tangan-Ku. Apakah kamu menyombongkan diri ataukah kamu (merasa) termasuk orang-orang yang (lebih) tinggi?".

تو خدا نے کہا اے ابلیس تیرے لئے کیا شے مانع ہوئی کہ تو اسے سجدہ کرے جسے میں نے اپنے دست قدرت سے بنایا ہے تو نے غرور اختیار کیا یا تو واقعا بلند لوگوں میں سے ہے

আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
