أَيُّوبَ إِذْ أَنِّى ﴿٤١﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment."

  • وَقَالَ لِلَّذِى ظَنَّ أَنَّهُۥ نَاجٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱذْكُرْنِى عِندَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنسَىٰهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِى ٱلسِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ

    And he said to the one whom he knew would go free, "Mention me before your master." But Satan made him forget the mention [to] his master, and Joseph remained in prison several…

  • وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌ

    And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.

  • وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَهَٰنَنِ

    But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

    He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."
