    And We saved them and their people from the great affliction,

  • ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ

    Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority

  • قَالَ يَٰهَٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوٓا۟

    [Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,

  • وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

    And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.
