And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair.

When We let people taste [Our] mercy, they boast about it; but should an ill visit them because of what their hands have sent ahead, behold, they become despondent!

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy they rejoice therein; but if an evil thing befall them as the consequence of their own deeds, lo! they are in despair!

When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!

And when We let men taste mercy, they rejoice in it; but if some evil befalls them for that their own hands have forwarded, behold, they despair.

و هرگاه به مردم رحمتی [چون نعمت، ثروت، اولاد و امنیت] بچشانیم به آن شادمان می شوند، و چون به سبب گناهانی که مرتکب شده اند آسیب و گزندی به آنان رسد، ناگهان ناامید می شوند.

و چون مردم را رحمتی بچشانیم، بدان شاد می‌گردند؛ و چون به [سزای‌] آنچه دستاورد گذشته آنان است، صدمه‌ای به ایشان برسد، بناگاه نومید می‌شوند.

İnsanlara bir rahmet tattırdığımız zaman ona sevinirler, ama yaptıklarından ötürü başlarına bir kötülük gelirse hemen ümitlerini kaybediverirler.

Dan apabila Kami rasakan sesuatu rahmat kepada manusia, niscaya mereka gembira dengan rahmat itu. Dan apabila mereka ditimpa suatu musibah (bahaya) disebabkan kesalahan yang telah dikerjakan oleh tangan mereka sendiri, tiba-tiba mereka itu berputus asa.

اور جب ہم انسانوں کو رحمت کا مزہ چکھادیتے ہیں تو وہ خوش ہوجاتے ہیں اور جب انہیں ان کے سابقہ کردار کی بنا پر کوئی تکلیف پہنچ جاتی ہے تو وہ مایوسی کا شکار ہوجاتے ہیں

আর যখন আমি মানুষকে রহমতের স্বাদ আস্বাদন করাই, তারা তাতে আনন্দিত হয় এবং তাদের কৃতকর্মের ফলে যদি তাদেরকে কোন দুদর্শা পায়, তবে তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।
