وَلَوْ أَنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنِ أَوِ مِن مَّا إِلَّا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ مَا بِهِۦ لَّهُمْ ﴿٦٦﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

اطاعت خدا؛ عامل افزایش استقامت

از جملةٌ «و اشدٌ تشبیتا» فهمیده می‌شود که هر قدر انسان در مسیر اطاعت از فرمان خدا گام بردارد» ثبات و استقامت او بیشتر می‌شود. در واقع اطاعت فرمان خدا نوعی ورزش روحی برای انسان است که ادامه و تکرار آن» همانند ورزش‌های جسمانی» روز به روز قوّت و قدرت و ثبات و استحکام بیشتری می‌آفریند و انسان به تدریج به جایی می‌رسد که هیچ قدرتی نمی‌تواند بر نیروی ایمان او غلبه کند و او را بفریبد. در روایتی نقل شده که وقتی این یه نازل شدء یکی از مسلمانان باایمان گفت: به خدا سوگندء اگر چنین دستورهای سنگینی از طرف خدا به ما داده می‌شدء حتماً انجام می‌دادیم؛ ولی خدا را شکر که از انجام چنین دستوری معاف شده‌ایم. این سخن به پیامبر(ص) رسید. ایشان فرمود: «بعضی از پیروان من چنان‌اند که ایمان در دل‌های آنها از کوه‌های محکم. استوارتر است.»
