And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]

We have already seized them with punishment, yet they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor will they entreat [Him for mercy]

Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray,

We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!-

We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble;

همانا ما آنان را به بلاها و آسیب ها [ی دنیایی] گرفتیم، ولی نه برای پروردگارشان فروتنی کردند و نه به پیشگاهش زاری می کنند،

و به راستی ایشان را به عذاب گرفتار کردیم و[لی‌] نسبت به پروردگارشان فروتنی نکردند و به زاری درنیامدند.

And olsun ki, Biz onları azabla yakalamıştık, yine de Rablerine boyun eğmemiş ve yakarmamışlardı.

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah pernah menimpakan azab kepada mereka, maka mereka tidak tunduk kepada Tuhan mereka, dan (juga) tidak memohon (kepada-Nya) dengan merendahkan diri.

اور ہم نے انہیں عذاب کے ذریعہ پکڑا بھی مگر یہ نہ اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے جھکے اور نہ ہی گڑگڑاتے ہیں

আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করেছিলাম, কিন্তু তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার সামনে নত হল না এবং কাকুতি-মিনুতিও করল না।
