And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," they say, "Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers." Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided?

When they are told, ‘Come to what Allah has sent down and [come] to the Apostle,’ they say, ‘Sufficient for us is what we have found our fathers following.’ What, even if their fathers did not know anything and were not guided?!

And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath revealed and unto the messenger, they say: Enough for us is that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever, and no guidance?

When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed; come to the Messenger": They say: "Enough for us are the ways we found our fathers following." what! even though their fathers were void of knowledge and guidance?

And when it is said to them, 'Come now to what God has sent down, and the Messenger, they say, 'Enough for us is what we found our fathers doing.' What, even if their fathers had knowledge of naught and were not guided?

و هنگامی که به آنان گویند: به سوی آنچه خدا نازل کرده و به سوی پیامبر آیید، گویند: روش و آیینی که پدرانمان را بر آن یافته ایم، ما را بس است. آیا هر چند پدرانشان چیزی نمی دانستند و هدایت نیافته باشند [باز هم این تقلید جاهلانه و ناروا را بر خود می پسندند؟!]

و چون به آنان گفته شود: «به سوی آنچه خدا نازل کرده و به سوی پیامبر[ش‌] بیایید»، می‌گویند: «آنچه پدران خود را بر آن یافته‌ایم ما را بس است.» آیا هر چند پدرانشان چیزی نمی‌دانسته و هدایت نیافته بودند؟

Onlara, "Gelin Allah'ın indirdiği Kitap'a ve peygambere uyun" dendiğinde, "Atalarımızı üzerinde bulduğumuz yol bize yeter" derler; ya ataları bir şey bilmeyen ve doğru yolda olmayan kimseler idiyseler?

Apabila dikatakan kepada mereka: "Marilah mengikuti apa yang diturunkan Allah dan mengikuti Rasul". Mereka menjawab: "Cukuplah untuk kami apa yang kami dapati bapak-bapak kami mengerjakannya". Dan apakah mereka itu akan mengikuti nenek moyang mereka walaupun nenek moyang mereka itu tidak mengetahui apa-apa dan tidak (pula) mendapat petunjuk?.

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ خد اکے نازل کئے ہوئے احکام اور اس کے رسول کی طرف آؤ تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے لئے وہی کافی ہے جس پر ہم نے اپنے آباؤ و اجداد کو پایا ہے چاہے ان کے آباؤ و اجداد نہ کچھ سمجھتے ہوں اور نہ کسی طرح کی ہدایت کرتے ہوں

যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয় যে, আল্লাহর নাযিলকৃত বিধান এবং রসূলের দিকে এস, তখন তারা বলে, আমাদের জন্যে তাই যথেষ্ট, যার উপর আমরা আমাদের বাপ-দাদাকে পেয়েছি। যদি তাদের বাপ দাদারা কোন জ্ঞান না রাখে এবং হেদায়েত প্রাপ্ত না হয় তবুও কি তারা তাই করবে?
