  • لَّقَدْ كَانَ فِى يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِۦٓ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ

    Certainly were there in Joseph and his brothers signs for those who ask,

  • وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلْمِحْرَابَ

    And has there come to you the news of the adversaries, when they climbed over the wall of [his] prayer chamber -

  • وَبِٱلَّيْلِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

    And at night. Then will you not use reason?

  • إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

    When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

  • وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقِيمٍ

    And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road.
