And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah '? Although you see me less than you in wealth and children,

Why did you not say, when you entered your garden, ‘‘[This is] as Allah has willed! There is no power except by Allah!’’ If you see that I have lesser wealth than you and children,

If only, when thou enteredst thy garden, thou hadst said: That which Allah willeth (will come to pass)! There is no strength save in Allah! Though thou seest me as less than thee in wealth and children,

"Why didst thou not, as thou wentest into thy garden, say: 'Allah's will (be done)! There is no power but with Allah!' If thou dost see me less than thee in wealth and sons,

Why, when thou wentest into thy garden, didst thou not say, "As God will; there is no power except in God"? If thou seest me, that I am less than thou in wealth and children,

و چرا وقتی به باغ خود، وارد شدی، نگفتی: آنچه خدا بخواهد [صورت می پذیرد] و هیچ نیرویی جز به وسیله خدا نیست؛ اگر مرا از جهت ثروت و فرزند کمتر از خودت می بینی.

و چون داخل باغت شدی، چرا نگفتی: ماشاء الله، نیرویی جز به [قدرت‌] خدا نیست. اگر مرا از حیث مال و فرزند کمتر از خود می‌بینی،

Kendisiyle konuştuğu arkadaşı ona: "Seni topraktan, sonra nutfeden yaratanı, sonunda de seni insan kılığına koyanı mı inkar ediyorsun? İşte O benim Rabbim olan Allah'tır. Rabbime kimseyi ortak koşmam. Bahçene girdiğin zaman, her ne kadar beni kendinden mal ve nüfus bakımından daha az buluyorsan da: "Maşallah! Kuvvet ancak Allah'a mahsustur!" demen gerekmez mi? Rabbim, senin bahçenden daha iyisini bana verebilir ve seninkinin üzerine gökten bir felaket gönderir de bahçen yerle bir olabilir. Yahut suyu çekilir bir daha da bulamazsın" dedi.

Dan mengapa kamu tidak mengatakan waktu kamu memasuki kebunmu "maasyaallaah, laa quwwata illaa billaah (sungguh atas kehendak Allah semua ini terwujud, tiada kekuatan kecuali dengan pertolongan Allah). Sekiranya kamu anggap aku lebih sedikit darimu dalam hal harta dan keturunan,

اور ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تو اپنے باغ میں داخل ہوتا تو کہتا ماشائ اللہ اس کے علاوہ کسی کے پاس کوئی قوت نہیں ہے اگر تو یہ دیکھ رہا ہے کہ میں مال اور اولاد کے اعتبار سے تجھ سے کم تر ہوں

যদি তুমি আমাকে ধনে ও সন্তানে তোমার চাইতে কম দেখ, তবে যখন তুমি তোমার বাগানে প্রবেশ করলে, তখন একথা কেন বললে না; আল্লাহ যা চান, তাই হয়। আল্লাহর দেয়া ব্যতীত কোন শক্তি নেই।
