The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

The example of those who were charged with the Torah, then failed to carry it, is that of an ass carrying books. Evil is the example of the people who deny Allah’s signs, and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.

The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah: and Allah guides not people who do wrong.

The likeness of those who have been loaded with the Torah then they have not carried it, is as the likeness of an ass carrying books. Evil is the likeness of the people who have cried lies to God's signs. God guides never the people of the evildoers.

وصف کسانی که عمل کردن به تورات به آنان تکلیف شده است، آن گاه به آن عمل نکردند، مانند درازگوشی است که کتاب هایی را [که هیچ آگاهی به محتویات آنها ندارد] حمل می کند. چه بد است سرگذشت مردمی که آیات خدا را تکذیب کردند. و خدا مردم ستمکار را هدایت نمی کند.

مثل کسانی که [عمل به‌] تورات بر آنان بار شد [و بدان مکلف گردیدند] آنگاه آن را به کار نبستند، همچون مثل خری است که کتابهایی را برپشت می‌کشد. [وه‌] چه زشت است وصف آن قومی که آیات خدا را به دروغ گرفتند. و خدا مردم ستمگر را راه نمی‌نماید.

Kendilerine Tevrat öğretildiği halde, onun gereğini yapmayanların durumu, sırtına kitap yüklenmiş merkebin durumu gibidir. Allah'ın ayetlerini yalanlayan kimselerin durumu ne kötüdür! Allah zalimleri doğru yola eriştirmez.

Perumpamaan orang-orang yang dipikulkan kepadanya Taurat, kemudian mereka tiada memikulnya adalah seperti keledai yang membawa kitab-kitab yang tebal. Amatlah buruknya perumpamaan kaum yang mendustakan ayat-ayat Allah itu. Dan Allah tiada memberi petunjuk kepada kaum yang zalim.

ان لوگوں کی مثال جن پر توریت کا بار رکھا گیا اور وہ اسے اُٹھا نہ سکے اس گدھے کی مثال ہے جو کتابوں کا بوجھ اٹھائے ہوئے ہو یہ بدترین مثال ان لوگوں کی ہے جنہوں نے آیات الۤہی کی تکذیب کی ہے اور خدا کسی ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے

যাদেরকে তওরাত দেয়া হয়েছিল, অতঃপর তারা তার অনুসরণ করেনি, তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত সেই গাধা, যে পুস্তক বহন করে, যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত কত নিকৃষ্ট। আল্লাহ জালেম সম্প্রদায়কে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
