It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allah; but [the decree of] Allah came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.

It is He who expelled the faithless belonging to the People of the Book from their homes at the outset of [their] en masse banishment. You did not think that they would go out, and they thought their fortresses would protect them from Allah. But Allah came at them from whence they did not suppose and He cast terror into their hearts. They demolish their houses with their own hands and the hands of the faithful. So take lesson, O you who have insight!

He it is Who hath caused those of the People of the Scripture who disbelieved to go forth from their homes unto the first exile. Ye deemed not that they would go forth, while they deemed that their strongholds would protect them from Allah. But Allah reached them from a place whereof they recked not, and cast terror in their hearts so that they ruined their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So learn a lesson, O ye who have eyes!

It is He Who got out the Unbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). Little did ye think that they would get out: And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah! But the (Wrath of) Allah came to them from quarters from which they little expected (it), and cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their dwellings by their own hands and the hands of the Believers, take warning, then, O ye with eyes (to see)!

It is He who expelled from their habitations the unbelievers among the People of the Book at the first mustering. You did not think that they would go forth, and they thought that their fortresses would defend them against God; then God came upon them from whence they had not reckoned, and He cast terror into their hearts as they destroyed their houses with their own hands, and the hands of the believers; therefore take heed, you who have eyes!

اوست که کافرانِ از اهل کتاب را در نخستین بیرون راندن دسته جمعی از خانه هایشان بیرون راند. [شما اهل ایمان] رفتنشان را گمان نمی بردید، و خودشان پنداشتند که حصارها و دژهای استوارشان در برابر خدا [از تبعید و در به دری آنان] جلوگیری خواهد کرد ولی [اراده کوبنده] خدا از آنجا که گمان نمی کردند به سراغشان آمد و در دل هایشان رعب و ترس افکند به گونه ای که خانه هایشان را به دست خود و به دست مؤمنان ویران کردند. پس ای صاحبان بینش و بصیرت! عبرت گیرید.

اوست کسی که، از میان اهل کتاب کسانی را که کفر ورزیدند در نخستین اخراج [از مدینه‌] بیرون کرد. گمان نمی‌کردید که بیرون روند و خودشان گمان داشتند که دژهایشان در برابر خدا مانع آنها خواهد بود، و[لی‌] خدا از آنجایی که تصوّر نمی‌کردند بر آنان درآمد و در دلهایشان بیم افکند، [به طوری که‌] خود به دست خود و دست مؤمنان خانه‌های خود را خراب می‌کردند. پس ای دیده‌وران، عبرت گیرید.

Kitap ehlinden inkarcı olanları ilk sürgünde yurtlarından çıkaran O'dur. Oysa ey inananlar! Çıkacaklarını sanmamıştınız, onlar da, kalelerinin kendilerini Allah'tan koruyacağını sanmışlardı. Ama Allah'ın azabı onlara beklemedikleri yerden geldi, kalblerine korku saldı; evlerini kendi elleriyle ve inananların elleriyle yıkıyorlardı. Ey akıl sahipleri! Ders alın.

Dialah yang mengeluarkan orang-orang kafir di antara ahli kitab dari kampung-kampung mereka pada saat pengusiran yang pertama. Kamu tidak menyangka, bahwa mereka akan keluar dan merekapun yakin, bahwa benteng-benteng mereka dapat mempertahankan mereka dari (siksa) Allah; maka Allah mendatangkan kepada mereka (hukuman) dari arah yang tidak mereka sangka-sangka. Dan Allah melemparkan ketakutan dalam hati mereka; mereka memusnahkan rumah-rumah mereka dengan tangan mereka sendiri dan tangan orang-orang mukmin. Maka ambillah (kejadian itu) untuk menjadi pelajaran, hai orang-orang yang mempunyai wawasan.

وہی وہ ہے جس نے اہل کتاب کے کافروں کو پہلے ہی حشر میں ان کے وطن سے نکال باہر کیا تم تو اس کا تصور بھی نہیں کررہے تھے کہ یہ نکل سکیں گے اور ان کا بھی یہی خیال تھا کہ ان کے قلعے انہیں خدا سے بچالیں گے لیکن خدا ایسے رخ سے پیش آیا جس کا انہیں وہم و گمان بھی نہیں تھا اور ان کے دلوں میں رعب پیدا کردیا کہ وہ اپنے گھروں کو خود اپنے ہاتھوں سے اور صاحبان هایمان کے ہاتھوں سے اجاڑنے لگے تو صاحبانِ نظر عبرت حاصل کرو

তিনিই কিতাবধারীদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের, তাদেরকে প্রথমবার একত্রিত করে তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর থেকে বহিস্কার করেছেন। তোমরা ধারণাও করতে পারনি যে, তারা বের হবে এবং তারা মনে করেছিল যে, তাদের দূর্গগুলো তাদেরকে আল্লাহর কবল থেকে রক্ষা করবে। অতঃপর আল্লাহর শাস্তি তাদের উপর এমনদিক থেকে আসল, যার কল্পনাও তারা করেনি। আল্লাহ তাদের অন্তরে ত্রাস সঞ্চার করে দিলেন। তারা তাদের বাড়ী-ঘর নিজেদের হাতে এবং মুসলমানদের হাতে ধ্বংস করছিল। অতএব, হে চক্ষুষ্মান ব্যক্তিগণ, তোমরা শিক্ষা গ্রহণ কর।
