عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن ذَٰلِكَ أَن فَلَا ﴿٥٩﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

حجاب؛ محافظی در برابر هرزگان

در این‌که منظور از شناخته شدن در این آیه چیست. دو نظر در میان مفسران وجود دارد که منافاتی با هم ندارند. نخست این‌که در آن زمان معمول بوده که کنیزان بدون پوشاندن سر و گردن از منزل بیرون می‌امدند و از آنجا که از نظر اخلاقی وضع خوبی نداشتند.» گاهی بعضی از جوانان هرزه مزاحم آنها می‌شدند.در اینجا به زنان آزاد مسلمان دستور داده شد که حجاب اسلامی را کاملاً رعایت کنند تا از کنیزان شناخته شوند و بهانه‌ای برای مزاحمت به دست هرزگان ندهند. بدیهی است مفهوم این سخن این نیست که اوباش حق داشتند مزاحم کنیزان شوند؛ بلکه منظور این است که بهانه از دست افراد فاسد کرفته شود. هدف دیکر اینکه زنان مسلمان در پوشیدن حجاب سهل انکَاری نکنند؛ مثل بعضی از زنان بی بند و بارکه در عین داشتن حجاب جنان بی یروا و لا ابالی هستند که غالباً قسمت هایی از بدن آنان نمایان است و همین موجب جلب توجه افراد هرزه به آنها می‌شود. برای «جلباب» چند معنی گفته شده اما بیشتر به نظر می‌رسد که منظورء پوششی است که از روسری بزرگ‌تر و از چادر کوچک‌تر است. منظور از «یدنین» (نزدیک کنند) این است که زنان جلباب را به بدن خویش نزدیک کنند تا آنها را درست حفظ کند؛ نه این‌که آن را آزاد بگذارند که گاه و بی‌گاه کنار رود و بدنشان آشکار گردد. به تعبیر سادةٌ خودمان, لباس خود را جمع و جور کنند.
