[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about Allah [various] assumptions.

When they came at you from above and below you, and when the eyes rolled [with fear] and the hearts leapt to the throats, and you entertained misgivings about Allah,

When they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when eyes grew wild and hearts reached to the throats, and ye were imagining vain thoughts concerning Allah.

Behold! they came on you from above you and from below you, and behold, the eyes became dim and the hearts gaped up to the throats, and ye imagined various (vain) thoughts about Allah!

When they came against you from above you and from below you, and when your eyes swerved and your hearts reached your throats, while you thought thoughts about God;

زمانی که از بالا و از پایین [لشکرگاه] تان به سویتان آمدند، و آن گاه که دیده ها [از شدت ترس] خیره شد و جان ها به گلو رسید، و به خدا آن گمان ها [ی ناروا] را [که خود می دانید] می بردید.

هنگامی که از بالای [سر] شما و از زیر [پای‌] شما آمدند، و آنگاه که چشمها خیره شد و جانها به گلوگاهها رسید و به خدا گمانهایی [نابجا] می‌بردید.

Onlar size yukarınızdan ve aşağınızdan gelmişlerdi; gözler de dönmüştü, yürekler ağızlara gelmişti; Allah için çeşitli tahminlerde bulunuyordunuz.

(Yaitu) ketika mereka datang kepadamu dari atas dan dari bawahmu, dan ketika tidak tetap lagi penglihatan(mu) dan hatimu naik menyesak sampai ke tenggorokan dan kamu menyangka terhadap Allah dengan bermacam-macam purbasangka.

اس وقت جب کفار تمہارے اوپر کی طرف سے اور نیچے کی سمت سے آگئے اور دہشت سے نگاہیں خیرہ کرنے لگیں اور کلیجے منہ کو آنے لگے اور تم خدا کے بارے میں طرح طرح کے خیالات میں مبتلا ہوگئے

যখন তারা তোমাদের নিকটবর্তী হয়েছিল উচ্চ ভূমি ও নিম্নভূমি থেকে এবং যখন তোমাদের দৃষ্টিভ্রম হচ্ছিল, প্রাণ কন্ঠাগত হয়েছিল এবং তোমরা আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে নানা বিরূপ ধারণা পোষণ করতে শুরু করছিলে।
