And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people

Certainly We destroyed generations before you when they perpetrated wrongs: their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they would not have faith. Thus do We requite the guilty lot.

We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk.

یقیناً اقوام پیش از شما را هنگامی که ستم ورزیدند، هلاک کردیم، و پیامبرانشان برای آنان دلایل روشن آوردند، ولی آنان بر آن نبودند که ایمان بیاورند؛ این گونه گروه گناهکار را کیفر می دهیم.

و قطعاً نسلهای پیش از شما را هنگامی که ستم کردند به هلاکت رساندیم، و پیامبرانشان دلایل آشکار برایشان آوردند و[لی‌] بر آن نبودند که ایمان بیاورند. این گونه مردم بزهکار را جزا می‌دهیم.

And olsun ki, sizden önce nice nesilleri, peygamberleri onlara belgeler getirmişken, haksızlık ederek inanmadıkları zaman yok etmiştik. İşte biz suçlu milleti böyle cezalandırırız.

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah membinasakan umat-umat sebelum kamu, ketika mereka berbuat kezaliman, padahal rasul-rasul mereka telah datang kepada mereka dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan yang nyata, tetapi mereka sekali-kali tidak hendak beriman. Demikianlah Kami memberi pembalasan kepada orang-orang yang berbuat dosa.

یقینا ہم نے تم سے پہلے والی امتوں کو ہلاک کردیا جب انہوں نے ظلم کیا اور ہمارے پیغمبر ہماری نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو وہ ایمان نہ لاسکے -ہم اسی طرح مجرم قوم کو سزا دیتے ہیں

অবশ্য তোমাদের পূর্বে বহু দলকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, তখন তারা জালেম হয়ে গেছে। অথচ রসূল তাদের কাছেও এসব বিষয়ের প্রকৃষ্ট নির্দেশ নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। কিন্তু কিছুতেই তারা ঈমান আনল না। এমনিভাবে আমি শাস্তি দিয়ে থাকি পাপি সম্প্রদায়কে।
