متکلف کیست؟

متکلف, کسی است که چیزی را - در حالی که صلاحیتش را ندارد - با سختی و به طور ساختگی بر خود تحمیل کند و معنای این جمله که می‌فرماید «بگو من از متکلفین نیستم» این است که رسالت‌ام را از خود نساخته‌ام. در روایات» بحث‌های فراوانی در بارة متکلفین و علایم آنها آمده است. در حدیثی از پیامبر(ص) آمده است: «متکلف سه نشانه دارد: پیوسته با کسانی که بالاتر از او هستند. نزاع و پرخاشگری می‌کند. از مطالبی سخن می‌گوید که از آن آگاهی ندارد و به دنبال اموری است که هرگز به آن نمی‌رسد.» در حدیث دیگری از پیامبر اکرم می‌خوانیم: «متکلف سه نشانه دارد: در حضور تملق می‌گوید. در غیاب غیبت می‌کند و به هنگام مصیبت. زبان به شماتت می‌گشاید.» در حدیثی از امام صادق(ع) می‌خوانیم: «متکلف خطاکار است؛ هر چند در ظاهر به حقیقت رسد... متکلف در عاقبت کارء جز پستی و خواری نتیجه‌ای نخواهد گرفت و امروز نیز جز رنج و زحمت و ناراحتی بهره‌ای شدارد. متکلف, ظاهرش ریا و باطنش نفاق است و پیوسته با این دو بال پرواز می‌کند. خلاصه. تکلف در هر چه باشد. از اخلاق صالحین و شعار متقین نیست؛ همان‌گونه که خداوند به پیامبرش می‌فرماید: «بگو من برای دعموت نبوت هیچ پاداشی از شما نمی‌طلبم و از متکلفین نیستم»»
