80

لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا لَهُمْ إِن لَهُمْ فَلَن لَهُمْ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا ﴿٨٠﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Ask forgiveness for them, [O Muhammad], or do not ask forgiveness for them. If you should ask forgiveness for them seventy times - never will Allah forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

آنجا که استغفار پیامبر(ص) نیز سودی ندارد

شک نیست که عدد هفتاد در این آیه برای بیان نمودن کثرت است و نه برای بیان شمار. به عبارت دیگرء مفهوم آیه این است که هر قدر برای آنها استغفار کنی» خداوند آنان را نمی‌بخشد؛ درست مانند این که کسی به دیگری می‌گوید: اگر صد بار هم اصرار کنی» قبول نخواهم کرد. مفهوم این سخن آن نیست که اگر صد و یک بار اصرار کنی» می‌پذیرم؛ بلکه منظور این است که مطلقاً نخواهم پذیرفت. از نظر قرآن» هیچ امیدی به نجات کفار و منافقین بدتر از کافر نیست؛ به جز آن‌ که پیش از مرگه از کفر و نفاق توبه کنند.

    And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah?…

  • أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

    So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

  • وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَٱلسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

    And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and…

  • فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلْقَلْبِ لَٱنفَضُّوا۟ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

    So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them…
