Has there not reached them the news of those before them - the people of Noah and [the tribes of] 'Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the companions of Madyan and the towns overturned? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allah would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

Has there not come to them the account of those who were before them—the people of Noah, ‘Ad, and Tham£d, and the people of Abraham, the inhabitants of Midian, and the towns that were overturned? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs. So it was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who used to wrong themselves.

Hath not the fame of those before them reached them - the folk of Noah, A'ad, Thamud, the folk of Abraham, the dwellers of Midian and the disasters (which befell them)? Their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). So Allah surely wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves.

Hath not the story reached them of those before them?- the People of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud; the People of Abraham, the men of Midian, and the cities overthrown. To them came their messengers with clear signs. It is not Allah Who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls.

Has there not come to you the tidings of those who were before you -- the people of Noah, Ad, Thamood, the people of Abraham, the men of Midian and the subverted cities? Their Messengers came to them with the clear signs God would not wrong them, but themselves they wronged.

آیا خبر کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند به اینان نرسیده؟ خبر قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و قوم ابراهیم و اصحاب مدین و شهرهای زیر و رو شده [قوم لوط] که پیامبرانشان برای آنان دلایل روشن آوردند [ولی نپذیرفتند]؛ خدا بر آن نبود که به آنان ستم ورزد، ولی آنان بودند که همواره بر خود ستم می کردند.

آیا گزارش [حال‌] کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند: قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و قوم ابراهیم و اصحاب مَدْیَن و شهرهای زیر و رو شده، به ایشان نرسیده است؟ پیامبرانشان دلایل آشکار برایشان آوردند، خدا بر آن نبود که به آنان ستم کند ولی آنان بر خود ستم روا می‌داشتند.

Kendilerinden önce olan Nuh, Ad, Semud milletlerinin, İbrahim milletinin, Medyen ve altüst olmuş şehirler halkının haberleri onlara gelmedi mi? Peygamberleri onlara belgeler getirmişlerdi. Allah onlara zulmetmemiş, onlar kendilerine yazık etmişlerdir.

Belumkah datang kepada mereka berita penting tentang orang-orang yang sebelum mereka, (yaitu) kaum Nuh, 'Aad, Tsamud, kaum Ibrahim, penduduk Madyan dan negeri-negeri yang telah musnah?. Telah datang kepada mereka rasul-rasul dengan membawa keterangan yang nyata, maka Allah tidaklah sekali-kali menganiaya mereka, akan tetapi merekalah yang menganiaya diri mereka sendiri.

کیا ان لوگوں کے پاس ان سے پہلے والے افراد قوم نوح علیھ السّلام ,عاد علیھ السّلام ,ثمود علیھ السّلام ,قوم ابراہیم علیھ السّلام,اصحاب مدین اور الٹ دی جانے والی بستیوں کی خبرنہیں آئی جن کے پاس ان کے رسول واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے انکار کردیا -خدا کسی پر ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے لوگ خود اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرتے ہیں

তাদের সংবাদ কি এদের কানে এসে পৌঁছায়নি, যারা ছিল তাদের পূর্বে; নূহের আ’দের ও সামুদের সম্প্রদায় এবং ইব্রাহীমের সম্প্রদায়ের এবং মাদইয়ানবাসীদের? এবং সেসব জনপদের যেগুলোকে উল্টে দেয়া হয়েছিল? তাদের কাছে এসেছিলেন তাদের নবী পরিষ্কার নির্দেশ নিয়ে। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তো এমন ছিলেন না যে, তাদের উপর জুলুম করতেন, কিন্তু তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের উপর জুলুম করতো।
