Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the fate of those who were before them? They were more powerful than them, and they plowed the earth and developed it more than they have developed it. Their apostles brought them manifest proofs. So it was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who used to wrong themselves.

Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were stronger than these in power, and they dug the earth and built upon it more than these have built. Messengers of their own came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves.

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.

What, have they not journeyed in the land and beheld how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than themselves in might, and they ploughed up the earth and cultivated it more than they themselves have cultivated it; and their Messengers came to them with the clear signs; and God would never wrong them, but themselves they wronged.

آیا [به غفلت نانی می خورند و بی خبر به سر می برند و] در زمین گردش نکرده اند تا با تأمل بنگرند سرانجام کسانی که پیش از اینان بودند چگونه بود؟ آنان قوی تر و نیرومندتر از اینان بودند، و زمین را [برای هدف های گوناگون] زیر و رو کردند و آن را بیش از آنچه اینان آبادش کردند، آباد نمودند، و پیامبرانشان دلایل روشن برای آنان آوردند [ولی به سبب تکذیب پیامبرانشان هلاک شدند]؛ پس خدا بر آن نبود که به آنان ستم کند، ولی آنان بودند که به خودشان ستم می کردند.

آیا در زمین نگردیده‌اند تا ببینند فرجام کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند، چگونه بوده است؟ آنها بس نیرومندتر از ایشان بودند، و زمین را زیر و رو کردند و بیش از آنچه آنها آبادش کردند آن را آباد ساختند، و پیامبرانشان دلایل آشکار برایشان آوردند. بنابراین خدا بر آن نبود که بر ایشان ستم کند، لیکن خودشان بر خود ستم می‌کردند.

Yeryüzünde dolaşıp, kendilerinden önce geçmiş kimselerin sonlarının nasıl olduğuna bakmazlar mı? Ki onlar kendilerinden daha kuvvetli idiler, yeryüzünü kazıp alt üst ederek onlardan çok imar etmiş kimseydiler ve onlara belgelerle peygamberler gelmişti. Böylece Allah onlara zulmetmiyor, onlar kendilerine zulmediyorlardı.

Dan apakah mereka tidak mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi dan memperhatikan bagaimana akibat (yang diderita) oleh orang-orang sebelum mereka? orang-orang itu adalah lebihkuat dari mereka (sendiri) dan telah mengolah bumi (tanah) serta memakmurkannya lebih banyak dari apa yang telah mereka makmurkan. Dan telah datang kepada mereka rasul-rasul mereka dengan membawa bukti-bukti yang nyata. Maka Allah sekali-kali tidak berlaku zalim kepada mereka, akan tetapi merekalah yang berlaku zalim kepada diri sendiri.

اور کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سیر نہیں کی ہے کہ دیکھتے کہ ان سے پہلے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا ہے جو طاقت میں ان سے زیادہ مضبوط تھے اور انہوں نے زراعت کرکے زمین کو ان سے زیادہ آباد کرلیا تھا اور ان کے پاس ہمارے نمائندے زیادہ کِھلی ہوئی نشانیاں بھی لے کر آئے تھے یقینا خدا اپنے بندوں پر ظلم نہیں کرتا ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ خود ہی اپنے اوپر ظلم کرتے ہیں

তারা কি পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ করে না অতঃপর দেখে না যে; তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কি কি হয়েছে? তারা তাদের চাইতে শক্তিশালী ছিল, তারা যমীন চাষ করত এবং তাদের চাইতে বেশী আবাদ করত। তাদের কাছে তাদের রসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশ নিয়ে এসেছিল। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি জুলুমকারী ছিলেন না। কিন্তু তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করেছিল।
