Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their [newborn] sons and keeping their females alive. Indeed, he was of the corrupters.

Lo! Pharaoh exalted himself in the earth and made its people castes. A tribe among them he oppressed, killing their sons and sparing their women. Lo! he was of those who work corruption.

Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections, depressing a small group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief.

Now Pharaoh had exalted himself in the land and had divided its inhabitants into sects, abasing one party of them, slaughtering their sons, and sparing their women; for he was of the workers of corruption.

همانا فرعون [در سرزمین مصر] برتری جویی و سرکشی کرد و مردمش را گروه گروه ساخت، در حالی که گروهی از آنان را ناتوان و زبون گرفت، پسرانشان را سر می برید، و زنانشان را [برای بیگاری گرفتن] زنده می گذاشت؛ بی تردید او از مفسدان بود.

فرعون در سرزمین [مصر] سر برافراشت، و مردم آن را طبقه طبقه ساخت؛ طبقه‌ای از آنان را زبون می‌داشت: پسرانشان را سر می‌برید، و زنانشان را [برای بهره‌کشی‌] زنده بر جای می‌گذاشت، که وی از فسادکاران بود.

فرعون نے روئے زمین پر بلندی اختیار کی اور اس نے اہلِ زمین کو مختلف حصوں میں تقسیم کردیا کہ ایک گروہ نے دوسرے کو بالکل کمزور بنادیا وہ لڑکوں کو ذبح کردیا کرتا تھا اور عورتوں کو زندہ رکھا کرتا تھا. وہ یقینا مفسدین میں سے تھا

ফেরাউন তার দেশে উদ্ধত হয়েছিল এবং সে দেশবাসীকে বিভিন্ন দলে বিভক্ত করে তাদের একটি দলকে দূর্বল করে দিয়েছিল। সে তাদের পুত্র-সন্তানদেরকে হত্যা করত এবং নারীদেরকে জীবিত রাখত। নিশ্চয় সে ছিল অনর্থ সৃষ্টিকারী।
