Have you not considered those who were forbidden from private conversation, then they return to that which they were forbidden and converse among themselves about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger? And when they come to you, they greet you with that [word] by which Allah does not greet you and say among themselves, "Why does Allah not punish us for what we say?" Sufficient for them is Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the destination.

Have you not regarded those who were forbidden from secret talks but again resumed what they had been forbidden from, and hold secret talks [imbued] with sin and transgression and disobedience to the Apostle? And when they come to you they greet you with words with which Allah never greeted you, and they say to themselves, ‘Why does not Allah punish us for what we say?!’ Let hell suffice them: they shall enter it, and it is an evil destination!

Hast thou not observed those who were forbidden conspiracy and afterward returned to that which they had been forbidden, and (now) conspire together for crime and wrongdoing and disobedience toward the messenger? And when they come unto thee they greet thee with a greeting wherewith Allah greeteth thee not, and say within themselves: Why should Allah punish us for what we say? Hell will suffice them; they will feel the heat thereof - a hapless journey's end!

Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, "Why does not Allah punish us for our words?" Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination!

Hast thou not regarded those who were forbidden to converse secretly together, then they return to that they were forbidden, and they converse secretly together in sin and enmity, and in disobedience to the Messenger? Then, when they come to thee, they greet thee with a greeting God never greeted thee withal; and they say within themselves, 'Why does God not chastise us for what we say?' Sufficient for them shall be Gehenna, at which they, shall be roasted -- an evil homecoming!

آیا کسانی را که از گفتگوی محرمانه منع شده بودند، ندیدی؟ که باز به کاری که از آن منع شده بودند باز می گردند، و با یکدیگر از روی گناه و دشمنی و سرپیچی از پیامبر، محرمانه گفتگو می کنند، و هنگامی که نزد تو آیند به صورتی تو را درود می گویند که خدا به تو درود نگفته است، و در دل خود می گویند: چرا خدا ما را به سبب آنچه می گوییم عذاب نمی کند؟! دوزخ برای آنان کافی است، در آن وارد می شوند، و بد بازگشت گاهی است.

آیا کسانی را که از نجوا منع شده بودند، ندیدی که باز بدانچه از آن منع گردیده‌اند، برمی‌گردند و با همدیگر به [منظور] گناه و تعدّی و سرپیچی از پیامبر، محرمانه گفتگو می‌کنند و چون به نزد تو آیند، تو را بدانچه خدا به آن [شیوه‌] سلام نگفته سلام می‌دهند و در دلهای خود می‌گویند: «چرا به آنچه می‌گوییم خدا ما را عذاب نمی‌کند؟» جهنم برای آنان کافی است؛ در آن درمی‌آیند، و چه بد سرانجامی است.

Gizli toplantıdan menedilen, sonra menolundukları şeyi yapmaya kalkışarak günah işlemek, düşmanlık etmek ve Peygambere karşı gelmek konusunda gizli gizli konuşanları görmedin mi? Sana geldiklerinde, Allah'ın seni selamlamadığı bir şekilde seni selamlarlar; içlerinden, "Gerçekten peygamber olsaydı Allah'ın bizi, söylediklerimizden ötürü, cezalandırması gerekmez miydi?" derler. Cehennem onlara yeter. Oraya girerler, ne kötü dönüştür!

Apakah tidak kamu perhatikan orang-orang yang telah dilarang mengadakan pembicaraan rahasia, kemudian mereka kembali (mengerjakan) larangan itu dan mereka mengadakan pembicaraan rahasia untuk berbuat dosa, permusuhan dan durhaka kepada Rasul. Dan apabila mereka datang kepadamu, mereka mengucapkan salam kepadamu dengan memberi salam yang bukan sebagai yang ditentukan Allah untukmu. Dan mereka mengatakan kepada diri mereka sendiri: "Mengapa Allah tidak menyiksa kita disebabkan apa yang kita katakan itu?" Cukuplah bagi mereka Jahannam yang akan mereka masuki. Dan neraka itu adalah seburuk-buruk tempat kembali.

کیا تم نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جنہیں راز کی باتوں سے منع کیا گیا لیکن وہ پھر بھی ایسی باتیں کرتے ہیں اور گناہ اور ظلم اور رسول کی نافرمانی کے ساتھ راز کی باتیں کرتے ہیں اور جب تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو اس طرح مخاطب کرتے ہیں جس طرح خدا نے انہیں نہیں سکھایا ہے اور اپنے دل ہی دل میں کہتے ہیں کہ ہم غلطی پر ہیں تو خدا ہماری باتوں پر عذاب کیوں نہیں نازل کرتا - حالانکہ ان کے لئے جہنّم ہی کافی ہے جس میں انہیں جلنا ہے اور وہ بدترین انجام ہے

আপনি কি ভেবে দেখেননি, যাদেরকে কানাঘুষা করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল অতঃপর তারা নিষিদ্ধ কাজেরই পুনরাবৃত্তি করে এবং পাপাচার, সীমালংঘন এবং রসূলের অবাধ্যতার বিষয়েই কানাঘুষা করে। তারা যখন আপনার কাছে আসে, তখন আপনাকে এমন ভাষায় সালাম করে, যদ্দ্বারা আল্লাহ আপনাকে সালাম করেননি। তারা মনে মনে বলেঃ আমরা যা বলি, তজ্জন্যে আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে শাস্তি দেন না কেন? জাহান্নামই তাদের জন্যে যথেষ্ট। তারা তাতে প্রবেশ করবে। কতই না নিকৃষ্ট সেই জায়গা।
