And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror.

You will suppose them to be awake, although they are asleep. We turn them to the right and to the left, and their dog [lies] stretching its forelegs at the threshold. If you come upon them, you will surely turn to flee from them, and you will surely be filled with a terror of them.

And thou wouldst have deemed them waking though they were asleep, and We caused them to turn over to the right and the left, and their dog stretching out his paws on the threshold. If thou hadst observed them closely thou hadst assuredly turned away from them in flight, and hadst been filled with awe of them.

Thou wouldst have deemed them awake, whilst they were asleep, and We turned them on their right and on their left sides: their dog stretching forth his two fore-legs on the threshold: if thou hadst come up on to them, thou wouldst have certainly turned back from them in flight, and wouldst certainly have been filled with terror of them.

Thou wouldst have thought them awake, as they lay sleeping, while We turned them now to the right, now to the left,' and their dog 'stretching its paws on the threshold. Hadst thou observed them surely thou wouldst have turned thy back on them in flight, and been filled with terror of them.

و آنان را گمان می کنی که بیدارند، در حالی که خوابند، و آنان را به جانب راست و جانب چپ می گردانیم، و سگشان دو دستش را در آستانه غار گسترانیده است. اگر بر آنان آگاه می شدی از آنان روی برتافته و می گریختی و همه وجودت از [دیدن] آنان پر از ترس می شد.

و می‌پنداری که ایشان بیدارند، در حالی که خفته‌اند و آنها را به پهلوی راست و چپ می‌گردانیم، و سگشان بر آستانه [غار] دو دست خود را دراز کرده [بود]. اگر بر حال آنان اطلاع می‌یافتی، گریزان روی از آنها برمی‌تافتی و از [مشاهده‌] آنها آکنده از بیم می‌شدی.

Mağara ehli uykuda iken sen onları uyanık sanırdın. Biz onları sağa ve sola döndürürdük. Köpekleri dirseklerini eşiğe uzatmıştı. Onları görsen, için korkuyla dolar, geri dönüp kaçardın.

Dan kamu mengira mereka itu bangun, padahal mereka tidur; Dan kami balik-balikkan mereka ke kanan dan ke kiri, sedang anjing mereka mengunjurkan kedua lengannya di muka pintu gua. Dan jika kamu menyaksikan mereka tentulah kamu akan berpaling dari mereka dengan melarikan diri dan tentulah (hati) kamu akan dipenuhi oleh ketakutan terhadap mereka.

اور تمہارا خیال ہے کہ وہ جاگ رہے ہیں حالانکہ وہ عالهِ خواب میں ہیں اورہم انہیں داہنے بائیں کروٹ بھی بدلوارہے ہیں اور ان کا کتا ّڈیوڑھی پر دونوں ہاتھ پھیلائے ڈٹا ہوا ہے اگر تم ان کی کیفیت پر مطلع ہوجاتے تو اُلٹے پاؤں بھاگ نکلتے اورتمہارے دل میں دہشت سما جاتی

তুমি মনে করবে তারা জাগ্রত, অথচ তারা নিদ্রিত। আমি তাদেরকে পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করাই ডান দিকে ও বাম দিকে। তাদের কুকুর ছিল সামনের পা দুটি গুহাদ্বারে প্রসারিত করে। যদি তুমি উঁকি দিয়ে তাদেরকে দেখতে, তবে পেছন ফিরে পলায়ন করতে এবং তাদের ভয়ে আতংক গ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়তে।
